Pettit

Billy Pettit has been named president of Pillar Properties after serving as senior vice president for five years. Pettit also leads strategic growth efforts for sister company Merrill Gardens and has been involved in developing over 3,700 units of senior housing. Pillar Properties is a multifamily developer, owner and manager whose properties include The Wave and The Nolo at Stadium Place in Pioneer Square; The Lyric on Capitol Hill; The Corydon in the University District; The 101 in Kirkland; and The Meyden in Bellevue.

First American Title

St. George

Donna St. George, formerly Donna Koerber, has joined First American Title's national commercial services executive team as managing director of the Northwest region, which includes Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Wyoming. She will continue to serve as underwriting counsel and manager of the national commercial services office in Seattle.

HUD Northwest

Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julian Castro named Donna Batch Northwest regional administrator for Alaska, Idaho, Oregon and Washington. Batch is now the acting regional administrator. She is HUD's chief liaison to state and local officials, congressional delegations and other stakeholders, and works with 56 housing authorities; 227 tribes and Alaskan native villages; 59 state, county and local governments; and 400 projects serving the homeless.

Gateway Mortgage Group

Gateway Mortgage Group hired Sean Cramer in the Bellevue branch. He will work with homebuyers, Realtors and others.

Rotella Gallery

Rotella Gallery will open a fine art and photography gallery in Bellevue Square April 18. Founded by Robert P. Rotella, the first Rotella Gallery opened at Palazzo in Las Vegas in 2012 and another opened in 2013 in New York City's SoHo area. The Bellevue gallery will be between Center Court and Macy's on the first level.

Coldwell Banker Bain | Seal

Coldwell Banker Bain | Seal was named a top power broker in RISMedia's 28th Annual Power Broker Report, ranking 13 out of 500 with sales of over $6 billion. Bill Riss is CEO and owner of CB Bain | Seal, which says it is the 17th largest real estate company in the country, with 31 offices in Washington and Oregon.

Club Champion

Chicago-based Club Champion, which fits and builds golf clubs, has opened a store at 10622 N.E. 10th St. in Bellevue. The store has indoor hitting bays with launch monitors for analyzing performance and a shop for assembling golf clubs.

Josh McDonald joins CBRE

CBRE hired Josh McDonald as a partner on its Northwest Multifamily Institutional Investment team. The team is headed by Jon Hallgrimson, and it works on a variety of properties: workforce housing, suburban property, downtown buildings and development sites. McDonald worked for Holland Partner Group of Vancouver for more than 10 years before joining Rhapsody Property Management Services of Toronto. He has experience as an investor, developer, owner and manager.

ARCH honors Bel-Red TODs

A Regional Coalition for Housing gave its 2016 Community Recognition Award to the city of Bellevue and Sound Transit for bringing transit-oriented development and affordable housing to Bel-Red Corridor. Bellevue and Sound Transit negotiated a memorandum of understanding in 2015 that called for creating a mixed-use neighborhood around the future 130th Avenue Northeast station with housing, office space, retail and pedestrian connections. The city pledged to build a park and ride for 300 vehicles. ARCH is a partnership between King County and Eastside cities focused on affordable housing.

Alesko joins Churchill Mortgage

Churchill Mortgage added Debbie Alesko to the Gig Harbor branch as a loan partner. Alesko is one of 28 people Churchill recently hired in Washington, Colorado, Michigan, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia. Churchill has offices in 36 states.
