Project description: Renovate 127,000-square-foot Bohler Gymnasium at Washington State University. The building was constructed in 1928. It contains the Athletic Department and gymnasium space as well as offices, locker rooms, showers and athletic support spaces. New structural work includes mini-piles, concrete shear walls and removing and reconstructing portions of the roof utilizing structural steel systems. The expanded exterior includes new brick, aluminum windows and roofing.
Original contract amount: $13,138,000.
Start of construction: October 1998.
Expected completion date: March 2000.
