Project 19 - Camas wastewater treatment facility improvements

Project description: The City of Camas is increasing the capacity of its wastewater treatment plant to provide adequate capacity for future growth. The expansion will increase treatment capacity from 2.33 million gallons per day to 6.10 million gallons per day by the addition of new influent pumps, headworks, septage receiving station, primary clarifiers, aeration basins, centrifugal blowers, secondary clarifier improvements, effluent filter, ultraviolet light disinfection system, effluent pump station, gravity thickener, and odor control soil filer. Other new structures will include a control building with laboratory, equipment building, UV disinfection/effluent pump station building, and dewatered sludge storage building.

Address: 12th and Polk, Camas.
Original contract amount: $13,447,310.
Start of construction: September 1998.
Expected completion date: September 2000.
