CSI Digital, a Seattle-based technology integration-management company, has promoted Linda Young to area vice president. Young will be responsible for directing all of CSI Digital's business in the Northwest region, including Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Alaska and Western Canada.
Seattle-based MWW/Savitt has hired David Matthews as a local area network (LAN) administrator. As LAN administrator, Matthews will focus on programming Microsoft Office to meet MWW/Savitt's specific needs. He will also in upgrade the in-house Internet connections and create a more efficient and powerful local area network.

Selpeco Resources, a Kirkland-based project management firm, has formed the new division, Streamline Network Resources (SNR). The division will be headed by Stephen Laccinole, formerly a project manager with Selpeco, and Mark Olson, formerly a certified professional systems engineer with Microsoft. SNR will provide network and computer system management services specifically to small and medium sized businesses as well as clients of the parent company.
Cole & Weber president Debby Kennedy has been named as lead of the Seattle-based agency. Her new position will be effective at the end of November with former CEO Austin McGhie's resignation. Kennedy will continued to oversee the Portland office. Other additions to Cole & Weber's management team include Brian Ribbey, senior vice president/general manager of integrated marketing, and George Lange, senior vice president/client services director. Economic Development Council of Thurston County The Economic Development Council (EDC) of Thurston County has recently finished work on a digital electronic community profile of Thurston County. The user-friendly computer product will be a key part of the EDC's future marketing plans supported by EDC "Corporate Trustee" members. The electronic profile was produced by Treehouse Associates of South Carolina and is the first product of its type prepared for an economic development organization.

Ogden Murphy Wallace, a multi-specialty law firm with offices in Seattle and Wenatchee, has added John De Vleming, Stanberry Foster, Jr. and Carol Morris as members of the firm, and Jennifer Simpson, Robert McGill and Aaron Benevich have joined as associates. De Vleming will practice in the environmental law and hazardous substances section; Foster will lead the firm's Personal Law Group; and Morris will practice in the Municipal Litigation Department. Simpson and McGill will both act as associates in the firm's Municipal Department, and Benevich has been assigned to the Business Municipal and Litigation departments.
FAIRBANKS, Alaska -- The University of Alaska Fairbanks is seeking proposals from consulting firms for the development of contract documents for the UAF Clean Coal Demonstration Project on the Fairbanks campus. The project involves: installing a 6.0-megawatt diesel engine complete with emissions control systems; constructing a coal-water fuel processing facility; and retrofitting an oil-fired boiler to use coal-water fuel. Sinclair Technologies, Inc., a multinational corporation specializing in the design, engineering and distribution of antenna systems, filters and multicoupling systems, has opened its Northwest regional office in Bellevue. David Schaan will act as the Pacific Northwest regional manager. Sinclair has offices located in the U.S., the United Kingdom and Canada.

Bryan Collons has joined the firm of Coughlin Porter Lundeen as a structural engineer. Collons brings commercial, large industrial, and public project experience to CPL. Current CPL projects Collons is working on include the Quadrant Lake Union Center, Central Way Plaza, High Street Terrace, and the Brezza Condominiums. Other new CPL staff member include: Garo Pehlivanian, structural engineer; Sean King, structural CAD technician; Brian Lampe, structural engineer; Bob Pack, structural CAD technician; and Scott Steinmetz, civil CAD technician.
AKB Engineers, Inc. has hired Thomas Reisdorff as senior civil engineer. Residorff has over 11 years of civil engineering experience, having begun his career in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Viet Nam working on road and airstrip projects. He served most recently as utility engineer for the City of Marysville. Reisdorff is currently performing civil engineering services on projects at Olympic College New Campus Design in Poulsbo, Pierce College and Maple Lane School. Noel Baca recently joined AKB Engineers as structural engineer. Baca has pioneered the design of prototype machinery and robotics equipment resulting in a mastery of various structural design parameters. His expertise also includes proficiency in the construction process which has made him an expert at planning for efficient constructability and design strategies. He has also written design programs including several frame stress modulars for AutoCAD. Baca is currently performing seismic retrofit design on such projects as Green Hill School Rehabilitation Phase I project, Sunny Jim Building for the City of Seattle, Seattle City Light's Building A, and 12 City of Seattle fire stations.
