Peak Technologies

Peak Technologies Inc., a Bellingham-based maker of Internet performance enhancement products, announced the appointment of Carl Conti, former IBM senior vice president and general manager of IBM Enterprise Systems, to the board of directors. Conti originated the concepts of modern cache memory. Conti joins recently elected board members Tom Williams, former senior director, Technology Investments, Canadian Maple Leaf Financial Corporation, and product manager, New Media and Entertainment at Apple Computer, and William Baker, chartered accountant (CPA) and consultant, who directs operations at Peak.

Gretchen's of Course

Gretchen's of Course, a Seattle-based catering, floral and express lunch and breakfast provider, has appointed Tracy Edelson as operations manager. Her responsibilities include office and facility management, computer administration, telecommunications and purchasing management. Gretchen's of Course is a division of Schwartz Brothers Restaurants.

Bogle & Gates has named the following as members of its firm: Gregg Barton practices in the Bellevue office focusing on the state and local tax field. In the Seattle office Colleen Christensen, focuses on complex commercial litigation, and Mark Carlson, has a litigation practice involving intellectual property, oil and gas, product liability, personal injury and general civil litigation.

Health Information Institute

Beverly Jacobson has been appointed vice president of marketing for Health Information Institute, Inc., (HHI), a newly formed information services company. HHI is developing and marketing technology to provide electronic access to health history data, including CHILD Profile, a software system that tracks immunization of children. CHILD Profile, developed by Seattle-King and Snohomish Departments of Public Health, will assist providers, health plans, clinics and local health departments throughout the state to attain the rational public health goal of appropriately immunizing at least 90 percent of two-year olds by the year 2000.

The Seattle Times

The Seattle Times has announced management changes for the Corporate Marketing department, which oversees promotion, community relations, corporate giving, research and sales support efforts for The Seattle Times and the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. Frances Malone has been named Newspapers in Education (NIE) Community Relations Manager, and will be responsible for developing partnerships with businesses and corporations in the Puget Sound Region. Joni Baker has been appointed art services manager for the Times Company's Creative Services department. She will be responsible for art direction, workflow management and quality standards for the department's advertising and promotion efforts. Chuck Chaves has been named production manager and will coordinate all vendor support needed to produce the Times Company's corporate marketing materials for circulation, advertising, public relations and news.

Chesilvale Electronics

Chesilvale Electronics, a manufacturer of digital and analog telecommunications testing products, has relocated its headquarters Arizona to Bothell at 11812 North Creek Parkway N., Suite 205.

ARC

Suzanne Findley has joined ARC Architects as the project architect for the 43,000-square-foot community facilities component of the Holly Park redevelopment project. She has worked on many educational projects in Boston and Seattle. Nick Wilbur, who has also joined ARC, will be the assistant designer for the new affordable housing for the Upper Skagit Tribe in Sedro Woolly and the invitational design competition for the City of Issaquah's second community center building. He recently moved from Juneau, Alaska. Glenn Weiss is ARC's new marketing director for all service ares, including community centers, healthcare, bio-tech and housing. He previously coordinated marketing for Heery International in Bellevue, managed the Public Art Program for King County and directed the Storefront for Art and Architecture in New York.

DLR/Graham

Trevor Stanley has joined DLR/John Graham Associates as an architect. He has already contributed to the physical needs assessment for the comprehensive grant program of the Seattle Housing Authority (SHA) and worked on a women's prison project in Salem, Oregon. Ramerio Zamarripa has also been hired as a architect. Since joining the firm, he has also collaborated on the SHA study. Ivan Chabra, previously with PacRim Geotechnical, Inc., has joined the firm as a staff architect, and is now at work on the Ala Moana Shopping Center Expansion in Honolulu. Zak Wood is a new architect with the firm and is now working on the North Whidbey Middle School in Oak Harbor. James Farley has joined the firm as computer systems manager. He was previously with Planned Parenthood of Western Washington.

ABKJ

Keith Latta is the new systems manager at Anderson Bjornstad Kane Jacobs (ABKJ). He came to ABKJ from a local Internet service provider where he was the service department manager. Michael Benson and Brady Mason have joined the firm as CAD drafters. Kimberly Connor, recently moved from Alaska, has joined ABKJ's marketing department as marketing coordinator.
