CTR Business Systems, Inc., has hired Marsha Kremen as a senior financial systems analyst and as marketing coordinator for the Seattle area. Portland-based CTR designs, develops, implements, integrates and supports computer information systems.
Redmond-based Metawave Communications Corporation announced that the Federal Communications Commission has issued a grant of equipment authorization for the company's SpotLight Multibeam Antenna Platform. The authorization permits the SpotLight system to be made available for commercial use. SpotLight connects to existing cellular base station equipment to enhance a cell site's capacity and coverage, enabling wireless carriers to minimize the cost network growth.

Theresa Krug and "Mac" McDowell have joined the Onyx Group as CAD technicians. The firm is presently overseeing projects in Guam and Japan as well as U.S. Navy projects in Jim Creek, Port Hadlock, Tacoma, Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and a research center in Bayview.

Seattle-based DeLaunay/Phillips Communications Inc. has won two new accounts, Sprint PCS and InterNAP Network Services. The public relations agency will help develop and execute western Washington launch plans for Sprint PCS' new wireless communications network. For InterNAP, an Internet technology company that delivers information rapidly and reliably to web users, DeLaunay/Phillips will also develop and implement a strategic consumer, business and trade publicity campaign targeted to companies with "mission critical" Internet needs.

David Vogel has been named multimedia account executive for Chase Bobko, a Seattle information design company. Vogel will head the company's sales within Microsoft and other high technology companies who have data intensive Web sites. George Hein and Catherine Hunter have been named director and assistant director, respectively, at Virginia Mason Medical Center's Marketing Resources and Communications Department.

Stephen Lewotsky has joined the Bellevue office of W&H Pacific Inc. as a senior planner. He has worked as a city planner for Grant's Pass, Ore., and as zoning coordinator with Koll Telecommunications Services. His responsibilities at W&H Pacific include planning and zoning services for wireless telecommunications providers. Mark Case has joined the firm as a senior CAD technician and will work on design and layout of grading, roadway plans and underground piping. Michele L. Kophs has been promoted to marketing coordinator at W&H Pacific.
