The Port of Seattle

The Port of Seattle has hired Jane Kilburn as public affairs director; Dan Leach as media officer at the Tacoma International Airport; and Imbert Matthee as media officer at the marine and corporate divisions. Kilburn formerly served as corporate communications director for Puget Sound Energy of Bellevue. Leach formerly worked as a reporter for KIRO Newsradio. Matthee had been an international trade reporter for the Seattle Post-Intelligencer.

HomeGrocer.com, a Bellevue Internet-based grocery service, has doubled its delivery area to include 31 Puget Sound zip codes, and has added more than 500 new products to the inventory. The service area includes most of Seattle, from the north King County line down to South Seattle, over to the Renton Highlands and out to Issaquah.

John B. "Jody" Chafee, Meredith Winters Dorrance, W. Michael Hutchings and Charles E. Smith have joined the Seattle office of Graham & James/Riddell Williams as associates. Chafee practices corporate transactions, international business and intellectual property law. Dorrance practices general litigation and labor and employment law. Hutchings practices corporate finance, securities and general corporate law. Smith practices corporate finance and corporate transactions law.

SuperCede

Tom Van Horn has joined SuperCede Inc. as president and CEO. Van Horn formerly served as president and CEO of InfoModelers, Inc. SuperCede is a Bellevue-based software company founded by Paul Allen and is the developer of the SuperCede visual development environment for Java.

Metawave

Metawave Communications Corp., a Redmond-based provider of spectrum management solutions for wireless communications, has appointed David A. Twyver, former president of Nortel Wireless Networks, and Bruce C. Edwards, president and CEO of Powerwave Technologies Inc., to the company's board of directors.

Entranco

Jim Buss has been hired as senior project manager for Entranco's Transportation Services in Bellevue. He spent 29 years with the Washington State Department of Transportation, where he was most recently assistant secretary for operations. His projects include the design and construction of I-90 from Snoqualmie Pass to Vantage. He also played a key role in development of the state's nationally recognized partnering program. Entranco has also recently added nine employees to the staff. Bill Love has joined the firm as a transportation engineering specializing in traffic analysis. Willie Ochoxner, a bridge technician, is providing support for structural design of transportation projects. Rachel Speer has joined the firm as a transportation engineer. Sean Mallon has joined Entranco as a traffic and transportation engineer for the development services group. Byarn Chaumont and Dave Shimamura are additions to the survey group. Eugene Burgy has joined the CAD department. Mary Moore has joined the business services department to maintain the firm's computer network system. Carol Forehand has joined Entranco's document production staff.

Coffman

Electrical engineer Gary L. Gerber has been promoted to principal at Coffman Engineers. His recent projects include the Paramount Theatre renovation, the AT&T Wireless Services campus at Redmond Town Center and Microsoft's Canyon Park Internet Data Center. Alisa L. Parks has joined Coffman as marketing assistant for business development. She has a bachelor's degree in social science and more than four years in the hospitality industry working in convention services.

Walker

Anna Asiesiukiewicz has joined Walker as senior graphics editor. She is involved with aerial photography and map editing and preparing orthophoto images. She is currently working on the U.S. Geological Survey National Digital Ortho Quarter Quad project and orthophotography projects for the cities of Enumclaw and Marysville. Jody Dutro has joined Walker and Associates as graphics editor. She has studied geographic information systems and has one year of photogrammetry experience. She is currently working on a mapping project for the City of Shelton. Leigh Umland is a geographic information systems technician. She also has 11 years of experience in photogrammetry and is currently working on the digital ortho quarter quad project.

CEW

Kippen Westphal is heading the new Seattle office of Corporate Environments of Washington (CEW), a furnishings dealership to the professional and commercial office market. He has coordinated such large-scale projects as Microsoft's office expansion and Nike's World Campus in Beaverton, Ore.
