Brumbaugh

Kristen Lundquist has been promoted to associate status at the Kirkland landscape architecture firm Brumbaugh & Associates. She joined the fron in 1993 and is currently the project manager for the Microsoft St. Andrews complex, a new hospital in Silverdale, and residential communities near Seattle and Portland. Mike Fleming has joined the firm as a senior designer. He is currently working on design of the Sammamish Parkplace, the Bellevue Technology Tower, and the new headquarters for Sellen Construction. Burton Yuen recently joined the firm as CAD manager. He is working on the Issaquah Highland residential community and a new park system for the City of Hillsboro, Oregon.

Horton Dennis

Civil engineer Charles May has bene named an associate at Horton Dennis & Associates, Inc. He has been with the firm for 10 years. Thomas Collins, also a civil engineer, has been promoted project engineer. Carl Dummann, Jr. has joined the firm as a senior project designer for private development projects. Jingsong Feng has joined Horton Dennis as a senior designing engineer providing civil engineering services to both private and public sectors. Ellen Marko was recently hired as an CAD drafter. In the East Wenatchee office of Horton Dennis, Bonnie Hastings has been named lead technician for the materials testing laboratory. Samir Basmeh, Laurie Kutrich and Charleen Neal have joined the East Wenatchee office as field technicians.

BOE

Edward Estevez has joined BOE Architects as a project associate. His projects include the new sanctuary addition for the Puyallup Church of the Nazarene, the Wright Roofing office in Tacoma, the Mt. Clemens Golf Course clubhouse in Detroit, Michigan and the new Highway State Patrol Facility in Olympia. He will also manage CAD systems in the office.

SMPS Microsoft construction site tour

A "Microsoft Construction Site Tour" box lunch program will travel to the Troon project on Thursday, July 23, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The project consists of two six-story office buildings totaling almost one million square feet. Building features include office space, cafeteria, below- and above-grade parking structures, and a state-of-the-art mechanical and electrical cooling system. Design elements include post-tensioned, cast-in-place concrete, precast concrete panels and a highly advanced water runoff detention and treatment system. Bring a hard hat and safety glasses if you have them. Also wear hard-soled shoes and pants (no skirts, dresses, or shorts). The tour is sponsored by the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS). Shuttle service will be provided at Overlake Park Presbyterian Church from 11:15 a.m. to noon. Cooley Godward

Cooley Godward, a California-based law firm that emphasizes intellectual property transactions, financing for emerging growth companies, venture funds and lenders, and technology litigation, will open a Seattle office in September. Greg Abbott will be partner in charge of the office, along with partners Christopher Wright and Susan Preston. The initial associates will include Tom Youth, Kevin Austin, Matt Roberts and Doug Haeuber.

Compro Computers

Compro Computers, a local computer hardware and service firm, has moved to a new larger facility located at 14320 NE 20th, Suite D, in Bellevue. Compro Computer owner Frank Imani recently took on a new partner, Massoud R. Mohsenian.
