Tech-Fast

Tech-Fast Metal Systems of Tacoma has added to its staff. The new hires include: Dave Lopez as lead detailer, Matt Jordan as checker-detailer, and Darryl Dragich and Eric Phillips as detailers. Lopez has seven years of experience in the CADD industry, specializing in commercial structures. Jordan holds an associate degree in mechanical en-gineering design with continuing education in management of technical operations. Dragich has over 22 years of experience in construction design and drafting, including mechanical and structural design and CADD. Phillips has 10 years of CADD experience and holds an associate degree from Lower Columbia College. Tech-Fast is a designer and builder of self-storage structures.

Triad

Bob Wallis has joined Triad Associates as a project surveyor. Wallis is currently working on the Sterlingwood development in the Sammamish plateau and the West Village development in Mill Creek. Wallis has over 20 years of public and private sector experience in commercial, multi-family, single-family, school and city development projects. Katherine Russell has joined the firm as a planner. Russell is working on East Village, a master planned community in Issaquah, and Wildwood, a multi-family development in Snohomish County. Jordan Al-Kahtani has joined the firm as an engineering CADD technician. He is working on Seaway Tract 3 and The Villages at Smugglers Cove.

AGI

AGI Technologies Inc. has promoted Patrick Evans to principal chemical engineer. Evans, who has been with AGI for five years, manages the firm's environmental technologies laboratory, where he develops and evaluates technologies to clean up contaminated soil, water and industrial wastes. He holds a master's degree in biochemical engineering and a doctorate in chemical engineering. The firm has also promoted Richard Goode to project engineer. Goode, who has been with AGI for five years, specializes in designing and managing construction of remedial action projects. He is providing the engineering analysis and design for a 750 gpm groundwater treatment system in Portland. AGI has also hired several new employees. Joining the firm are Jessica Garofalo, staff geologist, Louis Le, staff engineer, Jolyn Leslie, staff engineer, Karin Mainzhausen, staff engineer, Lua Olsen, staff geologist, Aaron Sundberg, staff engineer, and Bruce Johnston, information systems manager.

Keystroke

Keystroke has developed an online loan processing Web site for Seattle Mortgage which will allow the lender to capitalize on the growing number of people using the Web for e-commerce. Users can anonymously access the site at http://www.seattlemortgage.com 24 hours a day and pre-qualify for loans. Once approved, they can go through an automated application process. Seattle-based Keystroke developed technology that created a multi-lender mortgage marketplace on the Internet in 1996.

Corixa

Corixa, a research- and development-based biotechnology company, announced that its chairman and CEO, Steven Gillis, Ph.D., was recognized as the 1999 Pacific Northwest Healthcare Entrepreneur of the Year. Gillis was honored for Corixa's financial growth, advancements made in the discovery and development of treatments for cancer, infectious and autoimmune diseases, and for his dedication in fostering the company's distinct culture and values.

Berger/ABAM

Elizabeth Davey has joined Berger/ABAM Engineers Inc. as a structural engineer in the company's Federal Way office. Davey specializes in the analysis of bridge structures under seismic loading. Her current assignments include the Kingston Ferry Terminal improvements project for the Washington State Ferries and a concrete composite pier project for the U.S. Navy. Prior to joining Berger/ABAM, Davey was a bridge design engineer with the firms WestMar Consultants and Buckland and Taylor in Vancouver, B.C. She received her master's degree from the University of British Columbia in structural engineering. Nichole Brown has joined Berger/ABAM as an AutoCAD operator. Prior to joining Berger/ABAM, Brown worked as an engineering intern with the cities of Tacoma and Lakewood. She holds an associate's degree in civil engineering technology from Bates Technical College in Tacoma. Daniel Vos has joined the firm as a structural engineer. Vos' background includes the planning, design and construction support for site development, transportation, waterfront and water resources projects. Prior to joining Berger/ABAM, he was a civil engineer with the county of Kent in Michigan. He received his master's degree in structural engineering from the University of Wisconsin. Nancy Ferry has joined the firm as an administrative clerk. Prior to joining the company, Ferry worked as an administrative assistant for Morgan Design, an engineering and technical placement firm in Tukwila.

Dana Scott has resigned from CADD NorthWest Inc. to establish CADD Consulting Services Inc., a business based in Kent that will offer computer-aided drafting and plotting services, contract labor, CADD training, systems and networking and customization services.

Jon Tinker is the new director of broker sales and customer service for Mercer Island-based Lenders Interactive Online Network. LION says it is the leading creator of Internet tools for the mortgage industry. Tinker has 20 years' experience in the mortgage industry. The LION database at lioninc.com, provides mortgage rate and price information to subscribers of its web service.

Janeros

Ron Hardesty has joined Janeros Corp., the Mercer Island-based creator of SurgiSource.com, as its information technology manager. He has 25 years experience in software development and project management.

Forex Digital

Seattle's Forex Digital Services, Inc. has added Robert Scott Wilson as president and CEO. Judith Cordova, current acting president, will continue as chairperson of the Board of Directors. Wilson recently left his position as head of sales with the Global Foreign Exchange Division of Nomura International. Forex services currency trading firms worldwide.
