Minaksi Bhatt joined the law firm of Lane Powell Spears Lubersky LLP in the Seattle office as counsel to firm. Bhatt will concentrate her practice on intellectual property, antitrust and trade regulation.

Destinations.com

Destinations.com announced the acquisition of Toronto-based Terren Corporation. The Terren corporation provides tour operators its proprietary technology for booking and managing complex travel packages. The Seattle-based Destinations.com provides its own proprietary reservations technologies, voice-based reservation software system, an internet booking engine for web-generated travel reservations and a TeleWeb Service Bureau which fulfills and processes reservations.

Imagio Technology Advertising and Public Relations announced the addition of four staff members. Van Peterson joins the Seattle-based marketing and communications firm as web data architect. Peterson most recently worked as part of the re-engineering effort for Boeing. Eric Fossum comes to Imagio from Publicis and will serve as media planning and marketing analysis manager in his new position. Katie Goodman is a new human resources coordinator. Goodman comes to Imagio from the human resources department at WRQ, Inc. Tracey Nissen joins Imagio as receptionist. Nissen served as an administrative assistant at Microsoft before assuming her new role for Imagio.

Unico Properties

Wendie Billings is Unico Properties' new associate manager of the Metropolitan Tract. She has seven years' experience in property manager and oversees operations of the six buildings totaling 1.7 million square feet. Tract buildings are Rainier Tower, the Financial Center, Puget Sound Plaza and the Skinner, Cobb and IBM buildings. She previously worked for the Benaroya Capital Co., where she managed 600,000 square feet of office and retail space.

Transamerica Intellitech

Transamerica Intellitech has released HomeProfile.com, which allows title companies to offer web-based real estate information and maps with the need for programming or a web site. Users need only pick the colors they want and upload their logos. HomeProfile.com looks like the title company's corporate identity. More information is available at 1-888-4-RE-DATA.

UNICO Properties

UNICO Properties, Inc. announced two additions to its Seattle-based real estate marketing and managing team. Alesha Anderson joins UNICO as the Rainier Square Merchants Association director of marketing. She is responsible for the marketing, advertising and event planning for Rainier Square and retail merchants on 4th and 5th Avenues, and Union and University streets. Chris Ulrich was appointed chief engineer of the Metropolitan Tract in downtown Seattle. Ulrich is responsible for the management of the six buildings of the Metropolitan Tract: Rainier Tower, the Skinner Building, the Cobb Building, Puget Sound Plaza, Financial Center and the IBM Building

The Silver Company

Seattle-based public relations agency The Silver Company announced it will concentrate all of its new business activities on high-growth, early-stage companies whose primary business is the internet. This represents a significant change for the eight-year old agency. Some of The Silver Companys clients include GreatFood.com, Amazon.com Auctions, AllRecipes.com and Gear.com.

Stuff2Gold, a Seattle-based start-up company, is a new web auction listing designed to help people with little or no computer experience or resources sell their antiques and collectibles. Stuff2Gold will reach online shopping clientele via web auction sites such as eBay and Amazon.com.

Architectual Design West

Dennis Adderley has been promoted to principal of Architectural Design West in Burlington. Adderley started with Design West as a draftsman 18 years ago. Since that time, he has been responsible for quality control of construction documents, CADD computer issues and management. He received his architectural license in 1992 and has been a senior associate for six years. He moved to the Northwest in 1994 to help establish the Burlington office and has been involved in design and production of school projects throughout the West. Design West, based in Salt Lake City, is the oldest architectural firm in the United States. Founded in 1889, the firm has several offices in Utah, as well as offices in Sacramento, Pullman and Burlington.
