Federal Reserve Bank

The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco announced David K.Y. Tang, partner with the Seattle-based law firm Preston Gates & Ellis, has been designated chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco's board of directors. T. Gary Rogers, chairman and CEO of Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream Holdings, in Oakland, Calif., is deputy chairman. The bank has branch offices in Los Angeles, Seattle, Salt Lake City and Portland.

David Evans and Associates in Bellevue hired Peter Chen as a transportation engineer for the Puget Sound region. Chen has worked on transportation projects in Maryland, where he developed work zone and highway safety models for the state Highway Administration. He is familiar with accident data processes and preparing safety analysis reports.

MulvannyG2 Architecture added three people to the corporate-civic team that works on commercial, mixed-use, office and hospitality projects in the United States. Patrick Farley, Eric Klepp and James Fair joined as senior associates. They are working on the Towers on Capitol Mall, the tallest building planned for Sacramento, Calif. Farley will provide project management and technical design. Klepp knows specifications, code analysis and building department coordination. Fair's local projects include the Greater Tacoma Convention & Trade Center, Sea-Tac International Airport South Terminal expansion and the Boeing Commercial Airplane Group headquarters in Renton.

Bruce Powers is EDAW Seattle's new managing principal and design studio director. In 20 years as a landscape architect, Powers has focused on parks and recreation, transportation and land development. He will strengthen client relationships for EDAW's design, planning and environmental services.

SRG Partnership promoted Craig Tompkins, Tim Evans and Jon Wiener to principal in the Portland office. Tompkins is working on projects for Shriners Hospital in Honolulu and Portland, and the College of Veterinary Medicine at Oregon State University. Evans serves as SRG's director of science and technology projects, and is currently working on the new Oregon Nanoscience and Microtechnologies Institute at the University of Oregon and the College of Veterinary Medicine at Oregon State University. Wiener is the leader of SRG's education market sector. His current projects include Pacific University's Health Professions Campus in Hillsboro and the Oregon Institute of Technology in Klamath Falls.

Brian Maxwell has joined Berger/ABAM Engineers Portland office. Maxwell has more than eight years of structural engineering experience. Robert Morast has also joined the office with 41 years of engineering experience in traffic and transportation engineering, including seven years as traffic engineer for Washington County and 20 years with the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

Callison Architecture

Callison promoted 10 people to director. Directors are responsible for driving change within the organization, according to Callison. They are: Brad Barnett; Matt Billerbeck; Judd Eddy; Rod Johnson; Carolyn Jones; Peter Krech; Glen Matsui; Michelle McCormick; Song Pak; and Alex Shapleigh.

Jason Grube recently joined Daigle Design's graphic design team. He has a visual arts degree from University of Wisconson. Daigle Design is based on Bainbridge Island.

Portico

Portico named Keith Robert McClintock, a landscape architect, to principal. He has designed for zoos in Calgary, Honolulu, Auckland, Chicago and Portland, and worked on re-constructed gardens in the Conservatory of Flowers in San Francisco. Portico also added new staff: Eric Blank, architect; Maren Coleman, landscape architect; Wing Fong, graphic designer; Lasse Jaakola, architect; Devin Lai, architectural designer; Richard Larson, exhibit designer; Michael Lombardi, architectural designer; Ed Mah, landscape architect; JR Myers, landscape designer; James Pase, architectural designer; Brian Schroeder, architectural designer; Arlyne Sevilla, human resource administrator; Birgit Soderlund, exhibit designer; Kara Weaver, landscape designer; and Michael Yariv, landscape designer.
