Magnusson Klemencic Associates promoted Andy Frye to chief operating officer. Frye has worked in project management for 15 years at the firm. He has a background in steel and concrete high-rise design, specializing in office and residential projects, and has supervised design of more than 6 million square feet of space in the past five years. His projects include The Infinity in San Francisco and 300 North LaSalle in Chicago.

Czarnomski

Environmental Science Associates hired Nicole Czarnomski as a geomorphologist and hydrologist in its Northwest water group in Portland and Shannon Stewart as a principal technical associate in the energy practice in San Diego. Czarnomski holds a Ph.D. and has 11 years of experience in the Northwest and Southwest. She has worked with federal and state agencies on restoration of public lands. Stewart was the Bureau of Land Management's solar energy program lead in Washington, D.C. She participated in the geothermal programmatic EIS, the Arizona restoration design energy program EIS, oil and gas leasing reform, and other policy efforts. She also was a senior policy analyst for the Bonneville Power Administration. ESA is an environmental consulting and planning firm, and has an office in Seattle.

Jensen Maritime Consultants

Qi

Seattle-based Jensen Maritime Consultants hired naval architect Jianjun Qi into its New Orleans office. Qi has a decade of naval architecture, marine engineering and shipyard experience, including design of fishing vessels in Asia. He previously worked at Incat Crowther, of Morgan City, La., and Derecktor Shipyard in Bridgeford, Conn. Jensen is a naval architecture and marine engineering firm owned by Crowley Maritime.

DLR Group

DLR Group promoted Lawrence T. Yuan to principal, Sean P. Avery, Matthew S. Glassman, Erica Loynd, Daniel W. Murray, Sheri O'Brien and Jason P. Tornquist to senior associate, and Timothy C. Ganey, Megan K. Schoch and Joseph H. Zody to associate. Yuan is an architect with 35 years of experience in architecture, design leadership and business development. He provides executive management of the firm's international practice in Asia. Avery is an electrical engineer who has worked with DLR for six years. His background is in energy efficient design and lighting, including solar installations for football stadiums. Glassman has been an architect with DLR for six years, working on corporate, higher education, justice and K-12 projects. Loynd is an architect with 10 years of experience, focusing on integrated design and sustainable design. Her work includes the SCORE Jail and research on net-zero corrections centers. Murray, an architect for 10 years, is focusing on corporate facilities, including for Google and Boeing. O'Brien has seven years of experience as an architect for corporate, higher education, justice and K-12 clients, including the remodel of Meadowdale Hall for Edmonds Community College. Tornquist is a structural engineer with seven years of experience designing in seismic zones. His work includes the SCORE Jail. Ganey is an architect with 17 years of experience, including K-12 facilities. He is working on Joplin High School in Joplin, Kansas. Schoch is an architectural designer whose projects include Boeing's Everett Delivery Center. Zody, an architect, leads business development and client services for the senior living practice. DLR provides architecture, engineering, planning and interior design in the U.S. and China.

GeoEngineers hired Ben Moore as a CAD technician in Tacoma and Scott Turner as HR coordinator and Darby Ewing as data services coordinator in Redmond. GeoEngineers is an earth science and technology consulting firm headquartered in Seattle, with offices nationwide.
