The Watershed Co. of Kirkland hired Kyle Braun as a landscape designer and arborist, Jasmine Palmer as an avian biologist and ecologist, and Adam Tycaster as a marketing coordinator. Braun holds a bachelor of landscape architecture degree from Washington State University and will provide landscape design and arboriculture services. Palmer has a master's in biological sciences from California State University East Bay and a certification in wetland science and management from the University of Washington. She will work with private clients and municipalities. Tycaster has over eight years of experience in business development in the insurance, publishing and architecture, engineering and construction industries. Watershed provides natural resources assessment, mitigation and restoration design, environmental planning and permitting, arborist and landscape architecture services.

Federal Way-based ESM Consulting Engineers promoted Keith Combs and Evan Mann to associate, and hired Michael Kendall as a survey crew chief, Matt Reider as a planner II and Matt Seizer as a survey instrument person. Combs joined ESM in 2004 and helped it expand construction survey services in Everett. Mann has 10 years of experience managing residential, commercial and industrial developments, and is working on Archer Hotel in Redmond. Kendall has over 25 years of industry experience, including previously at ESM. Reider was a Whatcom County planner for three years. Seizer provides survey support to ESM's Everett crews. Combs and Seizer work in Everett. Mann, Kendall, Barr and Reider work in Federal Way.

Clem has 13 years of experience and specializes in telecom and electrical systems. Tres West provides design and engineering in mechanical, electrical, communications and construction management.

In Spokane, it hired Rusty Pritchard as a senior project manager in the construction management group. Sprague has over 24 years of design and portfolio management experience. He is on the project and construction management team and is deputy program manager on Lake Washington School District's 2016 bond program. Capati has 20 years of experience and a structural portfolio of projects using Revit and Autocad, including K-12, housing, higher education, public/municipal, assisted/senior living and health care. Pritchard has over 38 years of program and project management experience at federal, state and local levels. He will work on Spokane International Airport security improvements and on OAC's marketing strategy for eastern Washington.

The firm said this will help with its expansion in the Mid-Atlantic region, its push for national growth in the Passive House market, and in adding engineering and development consulting to its architecture practice. Jones has over 16 years of experience that includes leading NK's townhouse and single-family studio, and operating a residential architecture practice. As COO, he manages operations and implements goals set by the board and CEO. Semke was “chief evangelist” at Hammer & Hand. He specializes in business development and marketing, and will help NK in the ultra-low-energy market. The firm has 29 full-time employees in Seattle and Pittsburgh, and said it is targeting 20 percent growth this year.

She is working on Fiber Arts Studio at Evergreen State College. Wang holds a master of architecture degree from the University of Michigan and was an intern architect in China, New Haven, New York and Seattle. She is working on the NOAA Sandpoint Building Green Infrastructure project. Besser has a bachelor's in fine arts from the Art Institute of Atlanta, a master's in urban design from Bartlett at the University College London, and a master of architecture degree from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. He is working on Sound Transit's Lynnwood Link. Shull is attending California Polytechnic State Institute, San Luis Obispo, to attain a bachelor of architecture degree. She is assisting with Lynnwood Link. Rolluda provides architectural design and planning.

Fallisgaard has over 30 years of experience managing and designing power, lighting and fire alarm systems for health care, housing and retail.
