Seattle-based landscape architecture firm Gustafson Guthrie Nichol promoted Makie Suzuki to senior associate, and hired Nanxi Dong and Helen Pierson as design interns. Suzuki has led design projects, and is working on Rainier Square in Seattle. Dong holds a master of landscape architecture degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and has worked on gardens, community designs and regional plans. He has been vice president of AES and Ahtna Environmental since 2014 and has 27 years in the consulting and construction markets. AES is a federal and commercial contractor. Ahtna is one of 13 Alaska Native regional corporations.
