Farley

Bellevue-based MZA Architecture hired Patrick Farley as a principal and senior project manager. Farley has 35 years of experience working on projects. They include the 34-story Tower 12 Apartments, the 50-story Fifth & Stewart Hotel and Apartments, and the 45-story Westbank condo tower at Third and Virginia, all in Seattle. MZA designs commercial and mixed-use developments in the U.S. and Asia.

Stantec hired Jill Connell as a senior health care project manager in the mechanical practice in Seattle. Connell has been a mechanical engineer for over 30 years, and was with Mazzetti + GBA. She worked on Overlake FutureCare New East Patient Tower in Bellevue and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport North Satellite modernization. She will lead mechanical design on projects and do multidiscipline projects. Stantec Seattle provides mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering along with specialty lighting, acoustics, technology, audio/visual and wireless design.

SHKS Architects promoted Matt Inpanbutr, Nelson Martelle and Adam Hutschreider to principals and shareholders. Inpanbutr was hired in 2007 and concentrates on preservation projects such as Lewis Hall at the University of Washington. He is managing the Disability Resources for Students project at Western Washington University and renovation of Lake City Library. Martelle joined SHKS in 2008 and has been instrumental in design and completion of Seattle Fire Station 18 in Ballard. He is project architect for Seattle Public Utilities Drainage & Wastewater South Operations Center and renovations of Gracemont at Bush School. Hutschreider was hired in 2014 and has managed civic, institutional and commercial projects with the city of Seattle, the UW and WWU, and led office and lab projects. He is managing design for the SPU South Operations Center, and works with clients and contractors on alternative procurement methods.

In Tacoma, BHC Consultants hired Sara Palmerton and Breanna Paulson as staff engineers. Palmerton is an engineer-in-training who holds a bachelor's in environmental engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Paulson is an engineer-in-training who holds a bachelor's in agricultural engineering from Purdue University. They will provide project support and engineering services on municipal water, wastewater and stormwater engineering projects.

He has a bachelor's in civil engineering from Washington State University and has done design support for public works projects at Otak. Rasor works on residential projects. He has a bachelor's in civil engineering from Walla Walla University and was an associate engineer for Ruggeri-Jensen-Azar and a project manager for International Seismic Application Technologies. Wine works on commercial, mixed-use and residential projects. He has a bachelor's in civil engineering from Clemson University and was director of civil engineering for a firm in Greenville, S.C. Blueline provides civil engineering, land use planning, and landscape architecture services.

Gastmans focuses on irrigation. He has experience in residential and commercial landscape projects. Lesmeister is in the civil engineering group. He has a bachelor's in civil engineering from Washington State University. Kendall has an associates degree with an emphasis on civil, mechanical, and BIM architectural studies from South Puget Sound Community College. He has a year of experience as a civil engineer technician.

Heger will be in charge of introducing innovation and integrating technology into services, practices, markets and products. He has nearly 30 years of experience, including lean methodologies and construction management. Murakami has more than 20 years of experience that includes leadership of the Lake Washington School District bond program. Bautista has done operations and administrative functions, including OAC's recent headquarters move from South Lake Union to Sodo. Chang has over 10 years of experience, including leading high-tech and commercial projects. Johnson has over 10 years of experience with administrative services and was operations coordinator. She will continue to lead major special operations and oversee projects. Teichman just led a major gaming company's headquarters TI project and contributed to work at Evergreen Hospital and Washington State University. She has over 15 years of experience, including in health care and high-tech facilities. Baker has more than 15 years of experience guiding high-tech projects for Northwest clients, and leading commercial tenant improvements, renovations, and upgrades to campuses. He is project lead for a number of high-tech projects on the Eastside. May is on the forensic architecture and engineering team. He has over a decade of experience in building enclosure design, architecture, sustainable solutions, and integrating forensic assessments with construction management, and leads residential, commercial and municipal projects. He is providing building enclosure services for Snohomish County, Pierce College and Auburn School District. Lyons is leading several municipal projects in the north Puget Sound region, including Washington State University North Puget Sound Academic Center in Everett. Collins has over a decade of experience that includes work with Centralia School District and WSU. Balzarini has over 16 years of experience and a background in K-12 construction. She has led projects for Federal Way, Tahoma and South Kitsap school districts.

Zamarripa is in the multifamily studio. He has 15 years of experience and is working on a mixed-use project in Bellevue's Spring District and a mixed-use studio for artists in Edmonds. Molina is in the single-family studio. He has 20 years of experience and is working on custom homes in Bellevue. Karve was hired 13 years ago and has experience on a variety of project types. She is working on mixed-use apartment buildings. Baylis provides architecture, interior design, planning, land-use processing and project and team management.
