In Seattle, Lease Crutcher Lewis promoted six to senior project engineers: Max Cummings, Margaret Wong, Herb LeBeau, Jessica Jenness, Joe Aebischer and Zach Beller. Cummings joined Lewis full-time in 2011 after interning in 2008. He is on the Rainier Square project. Wong is a 20-year construction professional who has been with Lewis since 2014. She is working on the Seattle Opera at the Center project. LeBeau is a 14-year professional who has been with Lewis since 2015. He is constructing the 15th & Market office building. Jenness, PE, SE, has been in structural engineering and construction for 12 years, and with Lewis since 2015. She is building the Third & Lenora mixed-use high-rise. Aebischer, LEED AP, has been in construction for 11 years and with Lewis since 2013. He is working on Third & Lenora. Beller, LEED AP, has been in construction for 14 years and with Lewis since 2013. He is building the new Kirk and Mead elementary schools.

Smith

Seattle-based Schuchart promoted Dan Smith to carpenter foreman, and announced that Casey Schuchart has become board president of the Seattle Architecture Foundation and Jeff Tobin has been elected to the board of the Associated General Contractors of Washington Education Foundation. Smith has nearly 20 years of construction industry experience, and has been with Schuchart for five years. Casey Schuchart is vice president of strategy for the company and Tobin is vice president of operations.

Forma Construction Co.

Forma Construction Co. hired Gabe Baker and Brianna Davies as project engineers in Olympia; Jennifer Harper as construction and estimating administrator in Olympia; and David Blankenship as project engineer in Seattle. Formerly with Sellen Construction, Baker has 25 years of industry experience, beginning as a carpenter before transitioning to safety and project management. With Forma, he is working on the Science & Lab building at Saint Martin's University. Davies has 15 years of construction management experience, most recently as quality control manager at Absher Construction. She is working on the Jefferson Lincoln and Fords Prairie elementary schools in Centralia. Harper has 10 years of experience as a contracts specialist for WSDOT's construction division. Blankenship was a project architect at Ankrom Moisan Architects. He is assigned to Sartori Elementary School in Renton.

The Walsh Group

Currier

In Tukwila, The Walsh Group hired John Currier as assistant project manager and Johnathen Nygard as quality control specialist. Formerly with Pacific Pile & Marine, Currier has worked on several large marine construction projects, including the Elliott Bay Seawall and Colman Dock ferry terminal. He is now on the Tacoma Link extension project. Nygard comes from Intertek-PSI, and has worked in the special inspection industry for six years. At Walsh, he is working on the Building 431 project in Bremerton.

Vanir Construction Management

Fulton

Craig Fulton joined Vanir Construction Management as project director in the Port Angeles office. Fulton spent five years in the public works department at the city of Port Angeles. Prior to that, he served 27 years in the U.S. Navy Civil Engineer Corps, retiring as captain. For Sacramento-based Vanir, he is managing projects across the Olympic Peninsula.




Fortive

Everett-based conglomerate Fortive signed an agreement to buy Gordian, a privately held provider of construction cost data, software and services, for $775 million in cash from Warburg Pincus, a private equity investor. The deal is expected to close this fall. Greenville, South Carolina-based Gordian will become part of Fortive's Field Solutions group.
