Contractors face labor shortage as construction industry slowly rebounds

Work has picked up in the Seattle office of Lease Crutcher Lewis since the recession. The contractor is building the Paul G. Allen Athletics Center at Lakeside School.
Contractors and tradesmen are waking up from the recession-induced deep sleep, but the area will need a few more shots of caffeine before it hits full stride. With so many people leaving the industry and many companies folding, skilled workers can be hard to find and the problem is expected to get worse.
