General contractor Lease Crutcher Lewis promoted Drew Carlson to superintendent, and hired Pinkal Patel as staff accountant and Margaret Wong, Adam Thompson, Jason Aldrich and Cole Fite as project engineers. All work in the Seattle office. Carlson joined the company in 2001 and is working on tenant improvements at Century Square. Patel holds a bachelor's degree in finance from Central Washington University. She works with accounts receivable and financial analysis. Wong holds bachelor's degrees in architecture and construction management from the University of Washington, and is working on a seismic upgrade for Boeing in Tukwila. Thompson, LEED AP BD&C, was worked as a laborer, project engineer and assistant superintendent. He holds a bachelor's degree in construction engineering technology from Montana State University, and is working on pre-construction for the 1321 Seneca condo tower. Aldrich, LEED Green Associate, recently earned a bachelor's degree in construction management at Central Washington University and is working on the Union Stables renovation. He started in construction as laborer in 2009 and interned at Lewis in 2013. Fite holds bachelor's degrees in construction management in the areas of commercial residential and heavy highway from Oklahoma State University. He is working on an electrical upgrade at North Boeing Field.

Adolfson & Peterson Construction's Pacific Northwest Region hired Mike Skuski as project manager. Skuski holds a master's degree in engineering management from the University of Missouri Rolla and a bachelor's degree in surveying and geographic information science from the University of Akron. He has eight years of management experience and three years in the construction industry. He is working on an anaerobic digestion plant for Novus Energy in Oregon.

Korsmo Construction

Huntington

Tacoma-based Korsmo Construction hired Haley Huntington as marketing coordinator. Huntington recently earned a bachelor's degree in business administration with a minor in communication from Pacific Lutheran University. She was general manager of the PLU's MediaLab internship program, where she oversaw marketing and multimedia projects, pitched new business, and co-produced an Emmy-nominated documentary film.

Sequoyah Electric

Gilsdorf

Electrical contractor Sequoyah Electric hired Evan Gilsdorf as a project management intern. Gilsdorf recently completed his junior year at the University of Washington in the construction management program and will be working with Sequoyah's estimating department for four weeks before shifting into project management.

Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers

The board of Vancouver, B.C.-based Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers appointed Beverley Briscoe as chair. Briscoe succeeds Robert Murdoch, who is near the mandatory age limit for the board. Murdoch will continue as a director on the board for the rest of the year. Briscoe has been a director of Ritchie Bros. for more than 10 years and recently was deputy chair.

Irons Brothers Construction

Irons Brothers Construction recently opened a 1,600-square-foot “Design + Build Center” in Shoreline and celebrated its 15th anniversary. The company was founded by Joseph Irons. It specializes in renovating older homes.

Everett-based Kirtley-Cole Associates hired Nicole Sullivan as project administrator, Trevor Graafstra as senior project manager and Jenny Merk as human resources/payroll manager. Sullivan has seven years of industry experience and holds an associate's degree from Edmonds Community College and a certificate in construction management from the University of Washington. Graafstra has 17 years of industry experience and is a LEED Accredited Professional. He holds a bachelor's degree in landscape architecture from the University of Oregon. Merk has 20 years of industry experience.

Walsh Construction Co. promoted B.J. Graham to assistant superintendent, Brian Lillybridge to superintendent and Shannon Morey to assistant superintendent. Graham joined Walsh in 2005 as a carpenter. He holds a certificate in construction management from the University of Washington. Lillybridge joined the company in 2013 as a carpenter with 30 years of experience. Morey joined Walsh in 1999 as a laborer and soon after started the carpenter apprentice program. He later became carpenter foreman of the finish crew.

Sequoyah Electric

Electrical contractor Sequoyah Electric hired Kyle Russell as an estimator. Russell interned with Sequoyah in 2013 while obtaining his bachelor's degree in construction management from Washington State University. He is spending the next year in the Estimating Department as part of Sequoyah's training program for project engineers.
