Associated Builders and Contractors of Western Washington hired Nathan Fitzgerald as director of membership. Fitzgerald has worked in government affairs and as a lobbyist with Carney Badley Spellman, and as a campaign manager and small business owner. He holds a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Washington and was an assistant boxing coach at the school.

MBA of King and Snohomish Counties

Bellevue-based Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties won a Council Award for Demonstrating Remodeling Excellence from the National Association of Home Builders. MBA won the Public Relations and Promotion category for its local Remodeling Excellence and Trade Remodeling Excellence awards program. The CADRE was presented last month during the annual NAHB Remodelers awards presentation at the 2016 Remodeling Show in Baltimore.

Klopp previously worked for Sellen Construction, UIC and Turner Construction. He has 28 years of experience and holds a bachelor's degree in construction engineering technology from Montana State University. Salerno is leading the company's Special Projects Group. He previously worked for Turner Construction and earned a bachelor's degree in construction management from Central Washington University. Dabbagh previously worked in contracts administration for Wilder Construction Co. and Granite Construction Co., and in accounting for Tarragon LLC and Sellen Construction. She holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from CWU. DeCordova previously worked for Turner Construction as well as the Port of Seattle, Vulcan, UW Medicine and Fred Hutch. She has 27 years of industry experience.

Scott Nielson joined the Seattle office of Roen Associates as a senior cost estimator, and Jeff Weaver joined the Spokane office as project manager and senior cost estimator. Nielson has more than 30 years of experience as an estimator and project manager for both commercial and residential projects. He ran his own construction and mill work companies in the past. Weaver, LEED AP, has more than 30 years of cost estimating experience with all types of construction systems and project delivery methods. He holds a bachelor's degree in construction management from Auburn University. Roen Associates provides cost estimating, value engineering, constructability review and project management services.
