Unclouding the haze of construction liens

    A quick search of Washington statutes reveals that there are at least 10 different types of liens: tax liens, construction liens, judgment liens, attorneys' liens, doctors' liens, real property liens and more. The list does not make for exciting reading.

    This article provides a brief review of construction liens so that a common question can be addressed: What happens after a lien expires if it has not been perfected?
