Machine gets the lead out of hazardous paint

    ARI Technologies in September tested a prototype machine that removes lead from paint-laden wood shavings. A commercial system would feed materials automatically.

    The big problem: How to economically take thousands of old military barracks apart so that the wood can be recycled.
