Seattle cutting construction, demolition waste

    King County is testing RAS on this two-mile paving project in south King County. About 3 percent of the hot-mix asphalt uses recycled roofing shingles.

    The city of Seattle is trying to recycle more construction and demolition waste. To do this, it plans to ban a number of materials from the landfill in future years.
