Illusionz

    A $5 million arcade and entertainment center called Illusionz was designed by Callison Architecture of Seattle to conjure the look and feel of a magician's world.

    The 39,000-square-foot facility in Issaquah features two 19-foot cone portals, called "wizard hats," that adorn the lobby, inviting visitors to begin their magical tour. The hallway is lined with the lithographs of great magicians.

    Computer technology simulates the experience of a roller coaster ride and gives visitors a chance to climb up a virtual rock wall. It also includes electronic "putt putt" golf, batting cages, laser tag and a café.

    Located in the Town and Country Shopping Center off Interstate 90, the arcade is the creation of a former Microsoft executive. It is the first project Callison designed using three-dimensional computer modeling.

    RAS Builders of Issaquah was the general contractor for the facility, which was completed in October 1999. The owner is Games Unlimited.
