$1 million-plus homes sold like hot cakes

Windermere Real Estate Services scrutinized last year's numbers from the Northwest Multiple Listing Service and found 289 single-family home sales of $1 million or more for last year in King County. The 119 homes that exceeded $1 million on the Seattle side of the lake for 1999 almost doubled 1998's total.
