Seattle-based Miller Nash Graham & Dunn hired four attorneys in Seattle: Alyson Palmer, Connor O'Brien, Drew Duggan and Amalia Walton. Palmer is an associate on the employment law and labor relations team, and was an associate at Stoel Rives. O'Brien and Duggan are litigation associates, and Walton joins as counsel working on environmental and land use issues. O'Brien was a judge advocate in the Marine Corps, and senior defense counsel in Afghanistan. Duggan was a clerk at the Pentagon and King County Prosecutor's Office. Walton has worked with a variety of regulatory agencies.

HomeStreet Bank

HomeStreet Bank said it has an agreement to acquire two branches in Lake Oswego, Oregon, from The Bank of Oswego later this year. This will give HomeStreet five retail branches in the Portland metro area.

Sean Prasad joins Cushman & Wakefield

Cushman & Wakefield hired Sean Prasad as senior vice president of enterprise solutions. He will develop relationships and work on strategy for major corporations in the western U.S. Prasad was vice president of corporate real estate at T-Mobile, and previously worked on real estate teams at Logitech and Sun Microsystems. Cushman & Wakefield has more than 43,000 employees in 60 countries.

Provenance promotes Cole

Provenance Hotels promoted Jennifer Cole to area director of sales for Seattle. She will be responsible for marketing and sales at Hotel Max and Hotel Theodore, the former Roosevelt Hotel that is being renovated and will reopen this fall. She has been with Provenance since 2013, when she started as business travel sales manager at Hotel Max. She was later promoted to complex business travel sales manager for Hotel Max and Roosevelt Hotel. Provenance is based in Portland and owns, operates and manages 2,500 rooms.

White gets superstar award

Jill White of Timber Ridge at Talus, a retirement community in Issaquah, received the superstar award from Life Care Services, a Des Moines, Iowa-based retirement community manager that manages Timber Ridge. Life Care Services manages more than 135 senior communities, serving 43,000 seniors in the U.S. Timber Ridge offers independent living, skilled nursing and rehab services.

The Rainier Group in Bellevue said Rachel McCracken has joined as portfolio manager. She has 15 years of experience in private wealth management in New York and Seattle. Rainier Group works with clients on business transition, succession and wealth management with offices in Bellevue, Portland, San Francisco and Los Angeles.

Rad Power Bikes

The Seattle electric bike company Rad Power Bikes has opened a flagship store in Ballard at 2622 N.W. Market St. that sells bikes for utilitarian as well as recreational riding, with its two street legal models: RadRover and RadWagon. RadRover is a mountain bike style fat bike. RadWagon is a cargo bike with room for passengers and gear. The co-founder and president is Mike Radenbaugh. The company started in California in 2007.

In Seattle, Mithun promoted Lisa Scribante and Jason Steiner to partner, Lana Lisitsa to principal and Rocky Flores to associate principal. Scribante joined the firm nine years ago and has led the design of workplaces in Silicon Valley for Fortune 500 companies, as well as hospitality and public projects in Seattle and nationally. Steiner is director of digital design, leading the integration of visualization, simulation and building information modeling. His projects include Weyerhaeuser headquarters in Seattle. Lisitsa is a project manager with 25 years of experience in education, commercial, hospitality and historic preservation projects. She joined Mithun in 2008, and worked on renovation of 1101 Second Avenue, a Seattle office building designed by Paul Thiry. Flores is a senior project architect with 23 years of experience on multifamily, commercial and corporate projects here and abroad. His projects include Anthem on 12th in Seattle.

She holds a bachelor's in civil engineering from China Agricultural University in Beijing and a master's in structural engineering and mechanics from the University of Washington. Alcazar is working on Elev8 residential project in Bellevue. He holds a bachelor's in architectural engineering from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. Mengistu has a bachelor's in civil engineering from Washington State University. Potter is working on Woodin Creek Village in Woodinville. He holds a bachelor's in civil engineering from WSU. DCI is a civil and structural engineering firm, with offices also in Spokane, Portland, Irvine, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Austin and Anchorage.

In Tualatin, Ore., the firm hired Gary Paul as a project surveyor, Brian Ballerini as a land development project manager, and promoted Mimi Doukas and Chuck Gregory to associate member. Summers has over 12 years of civil design and construction experience that includes earthen dams, interchanges, landslide mitigation and highway projects. She is working on stormwater design and site engineering for subdivisions in Clark County. Halling is an engineer and a land surveyor in training with over eight years of experience, including utility, street, education, corporate campus, commercial, industrial and residential projects. Paul has over 30 years of survey experience including condo towers in Portland's Pearl District. Ballerini has 18 years of land development and site design experience, and is completing subdivision feasibility studies. He was a project manager for Multnomah County. Doukas has 20 years of experience that includes mixed-use master plans, transportation, schools, residential, retail and senior living. She and Chris Goodell manage the land use planning team. Gregory has over 18 years of design and project management experience on sports parks, commercial, industrial, education and residential projects. AKS provides civil engineering, planning, surveying, landscape architecture, forest engineering, arborist and natural resource services, with an office also in Salem-Keizer, Ore.

His projects have ranged from aviation sites to road work and include Elliott Bay Seawall in Seattle. WHPacific works on transportation, water resources, environment, development, facilities and energy projects.

Seattle Department of Transportation

Genesee Adkins is the new chief of staff for Seattle Department of Transportation, leading external engagement and providing strategic counsel. Adkins was director of state relations for the University of Washington and UW's chief lobbyist in Olympia. She also directed government relations for the King County executive and the city of Seattle's state legislative director. She will replace Hannah McIntosh, who is taking a yearlong sabbatical.

State School Directors' Association

The Washington State School Directors' Association named Rainier School District Superintendent Timothy Garchow executive director starting in August when Executive Director Alan Burke retires. He has been superintendent for six years.
