Garvey Schubert Barer said Greg Duff, who chairs the Hospitality, Travel & Tourism practice, is now firm-wide chair. Duff joined GSB in 2011 after working at Westin/Starwood, Homegrocer.com/Webvan Group and Columbia Hospitality. He represents owners and operators of restaurants, hotels and resorts, and advises trade associations. The firm has offices in Portland, Anchorage, Seattle, Washington, D.C., New York and Beijing.

She has worked for firms in Minnesota and Seattle.

PCS Structural Solutions promoted Deneise Kopetzky to a new position: director of marketing. Kopetzky has 13 years of experience in architecture, engineering and construction. She works with clients in strategic markets and oversees marketing strategy. The structural engineering firm has offices in Seattle and Tacoma.

In Portland, Parametrix hired Steve Walker as vice president for Oregon. In Seattle, it hired Steven Olling as a senior engineer. Walker has 35 years of engineering experience and 10 years of construction experience, and will work in operations, marketing and project management. He owned SR Walker and Associates. Olling has 28 years of transportation industry experience, with a background in project management, highway and road engineering, and project monitoring and control. He was with Tetra Tech. He will manage transportation related projects in Pierce, King and Snohomish counties, and with WSDOT. Parametrix provides services in transportation, natural resources, community building, water solutions, and environmental engineering and science.

In Bellevue, Stantec hired Wayne Wright as a principal scientist to oversee biological services in the Northwest and expand the ecosystem restoration division. Wright is a wetlands scientist and fisheries professional, with work that focuses on aquatic habitat restoration, watershed recovery, species recovery, mitigation planning and design, permitting, monitoring and business development. Stantec provides consulting in planning, engineering, architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, surveying, environmental sciences, project management and project economics.
