Miller Nash Graham & Dunn

All attorneys and staff from Marger Johnson, a 32-year-old law firm in Portland, next month will join Miller Nash Graham & Dunn's intellectual property practice team. Marger Johnson attorneys are Alex Johnson, Alan McCollom, Sean O'Brien, Julie Reed, Kevin Ross, Justin Wagner and Marie Weiskopf. They are experienced in patent law involving technology, engineering and bioscience. Miller Nash has offices in Portland, Seattle, Vancouver and Long Beach, California.

Sound Community Bank

Heidi Sexton was promoted to chief operating officer at Sound Community Bank in Seattle. Sexton joined the bank in 2007 and was vice president of operations managing deposit, electronic and lending operations.

HomeStreet

HomeStreet Bank of Seattle appointed Sandra Cavanaugh to its board. Cavanaugh, a financial consultant, was CEO and president of U.S. Private Client Services at Russell Investments until her retirement in 2016.

DM2

PDI Software acquired DM2, a privately held Vancouver company providing back office automation to wholesale petroleum marketers. Alpharetta, Georgia-based PDI provides software to convenience stores and wholesale petroleum marketers.

Millikin

Hanford Site services provider Mission Support Alliance announced Rick Millikin will become vice president of portfolio management and Paul Vandervert will become director of the Volpentest Hammer Federal Training Center. Millikin was vice president at CH2M Hill Plateau Remediation Co., and has more than 28 years of business and program management experience. He replaces Steve Young, who is retiring June 15. Vandervert has been with Hammer for 26 years, serving as operations manager since the center opened. He takes over on Thursday for Karen McGinnis, who is retiring after leading the center from inception.

AGC of Washington

Elizabeth “Liz” Evans left the Associated General Contractors of Washington after more than 15 years to pursue other opportunities. Evans was Northern District manager and was in charge of the association's annual convention and Build Washington Awards. Her replacement was not named.

ANEW

Apprenticeship & Non-Traditional Employment for Women merged the Pre-Apprenticeship Construction Education program into its offerings. PACE was a program of the Washington State Building Trades. The merger increases the capacity of both programs to serve women and minorities. Both provide training in CPR/first aid, flagging, forklift operations and OSHA 10 certification. PACE will continue to operate at Magnuson Park and ANEW will stay in Kent.

PSF Mechanical

Seattle-based PSF Mechanical is celebrating 120 years in business. David W. Bowen founded Puget Sound Sheet Metal Works, the company that would become PSF, in 1898. It made folding stoves and gold pans for prospectors headed to Alaska. The name changed to Puget Sound Fabricators in 1955 and became PSF Industries in 1967. In the early 1970s, PSF Industries opened a mechanical contracting department that became a separate company in 1991 called PSF Mechanical.
