Lennar gets a deal on land in Bothell

  • The entry of big home builders into this market is putting pressure on local builders, who need to replenish their inventory of buildable lots.

    Lennar Corp., the latest big home builder to enter the Puget Sound market, has acquired almost seven acres in Bothell for about half of what the previous developer owed the bank.

    Lennar has no plans for the property yet, according to an official with Matrix Real Estate of Seattle, which is helping Lennar launch its division here. Lennar also is working with Gary Hendrickson of Windermere and marketing consultant Lea Von Pressentin.
