Project of the Month: Engineers give new twist to Helix Bridge

    The Helix Bridge is a striking feature in Interbay’s industrial landscape, linking the city with the shoreline and crossing nearly a dozen railroad tracks.

    The deck of the Amgen Pedestrian Helix Bridge is solid, but walking on it toward the shore of Elliott Bay can be slightly disorienting. This might be what it would feel like to move through space inside twisting strands of DNA.
