SEATTLE — St. Demetrios Greek Festival starts today and runs through Sunday at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Montlake. Organizers say the traditional food, music and dancing will turn 2100 Boyer Ave. E. into “a Greek paradise.”
Try lamb, gyros, calamari, souvlaki, spanakopita and desserts prepared by members of the church. Greek beer and wine are served in the Taverna where there are big screen TVs so you won't miss any football, baseball and soccer games. Authentic Greek imports and food will be sold, and children will find games, face painting and prizes.
