Jensen Maritime Consultants announced the addition of Stephen Gleaves as executive vice president and shareholder. Gleaves brings 30 years of marine electrical experience to JMC, including seven years as electrical section supervisor for vessel design at Washington State Ferries and more recently as an independent marine electrical design consultant and engineer.
Sara Carroll has been promoted to senior project engineer of Hart Crowser’s waterfront practice group. Over the past six years, Carroll has provided expertise in ocean engineering and coastal and remediation engineering. Carroll specializes in contaminated sediment evaluation and remediation, and is currently project manager for the Thea Foss Waterway project in Tacoma, overseeing all technical aspects. Carroll also provides construction support services to Hart Crowser’s other waterfront clients. Carroll joined Hart Crowser shortly after receiving her master's degree in ocean engineering from Texas A&M University in 1997.
PAE Consulting Engineers, a mechanical, electrical, lighting and sustainable design consulting engineering firm, announces staff certification. Patty Hamilton recently earned certification as a professional in human resources. The certification is awarded by the Human Resource Certification Institute. Hamilton is the office and human resources manager.
Greg Parthemer passed his lighting certification credential, presented by the National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions. Parthemer joined PAE as lighting designer and has 18 years of experience. He is knowledgeable in project management and spent five years as a sales representative for electrical construction materials.
GGLO added three professionals to the firm: Jill Crowson, Kent Scott and Wonsik Lee. Crowson provides the commercial and interior design studios with 25 years of experience in interior design and project management for corporate interiors, hospitality projects, custom residences, as well as large-scale facilities such as airports and health care and educational institutions.
Scott brings 20 years of multi-disciplinary landscape architectural planning and design experience, including parks, nature and interpretive centers, to his leadership role with GGLO’s landscape architecture group.
With a master of architecture degree, Wonsik will serve as an architectural intern in the housing studio, working on urban design and planning projects.
Barbara Faville, a senior ergonomist at Clayton Group Services' Seattle regional office, has been certified a professional ergonomist by the Board of Certified Professional Ergonomists. Faville is a certified industrial hygienist and is a member of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society's Puget Sound chapter, and the Institute of Industrial Engineers. Clayton is headquartered in Novi, Mich., and has 20 offices nationwide.

Peter David Greaves joined Olympic Associates as senior architect. Greaves was a principal at Weinstein Copeland Architects, where he served as project architect on the NewHolly project. Greaves is a member of AIA/Seattle and is currently in his second term as treasurer of the chapter.
Quantum Consulting Engineers announced John Riley joined the firm as a principal. Riley has 16 years of structural engineering expertise, including designs, renovations and seismic upgrades for mixed-use, commercial, educational, community and high-tech facilities. His recent work includes Sea-Tac International Airport passenger terminal seismic upgrade and Six Flag’s Wild Waves & Enchanted Village renovation in Federal Way. He is working on structural designs for Harbor Heights Assisted Living Center, Snoqualmie Retail Complex, Del Mar mixed-use transit station and Issaquah Middle School.
Path Engineers announced Joe Cook has become a LEED Accredited Professional as of December 2002. Developed by the U.S. Green Building Council, the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) program distinguishes sustainable building designs.
Cook joined Path in March 2000 as project engineer, after graduating from Washington State University with degrees in mechanical engineering and business finance.
Alison Stanley joined Hart Crowser’s Seattle office as a geotechnical engineer. Stanley recently received her master's degree in geotechnical engineering from the University of Washington, and holds a bachelor's degree in environmental and engineering geology from Western Washington University.
