Johnston Architects promoted Marc Pevoto and Allison Walker Brems to architectural associates. Pevoto is project manager for the Capitol Hill Library, which opened Saturday. He was also project manager for the Maple Valley Library and is currently involved in construction documentation for the Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribe's House of Knowledge project.
Brems has 10 years experience in all aspects of the field, including programming, design and construction administration. Her projects have included multi-family housing, residential renovations, vacation homes and libraries. She is currently project architect for an eight-unit multi-family project in the Green Lake neighborhood.
DLR Group recently made several additions and appointments. Christine Fournier joined as a space planner, programmer and interior designer, and is currently working on tenant improvement test-fits for software firm WRQ. In her 27-year career, she has worked on more than 40 million square feet of space for corporate, government, military and health care clients.
Steven McKay, principal in charge of DLR Group’s retail design studio, was recently appointed to the National Association of Store Fixture Manufacturers Retail Advisory Council. The council helps guide the association's retail-focused programs, including annual awards, services and campaigns.
Jay Gelose, senior associate and client services coordinator for corporate and retail studios, was recently appointed to the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties National Forum on Associates II. The forum is limited to associate NAIOP members who are active in the commercial real estate industry, and focuses on adding value to the development process.
KDD & Associates announced two of its principals, John Diaz and Phillip Thompson, recently received LEED accreditation from the U.S. Green Building Council.
The firm also announced the addition of Barbara Smith as director of business development. She comes from the city of Burien, and holds a bachelor of science degree from the University of Phoenix.
KDD & Associates is a small Seattle firm whose services include civil engineering, traffic and transportation engineering and environmental engineering.
Hopper Dennis Jellison recently announced additions to its staff. Douglas R. Lee, formerly principal at Evergreen Design Group, joined as landscape architect manager. Lee brings 20 years of regional experience in public and private landscape design.
Chris Sheer joined the firm's CADD department. Sheer is a graduate from Oregon Polytechnic Institute. He replaces Jeff Arrowsmith, who was recently promoted to design technician at HDJ. Arrowsmith had been with the CADD department for seven years prior to his promotion.
HDJ has offices in Tigard, Ore., and Pasco. In addition to landscape architecture, HDJ also provides civil, transportation, traffic, utility and water resources engineering, as well as construction management services and land use planning.

Chambers

Chambers is currently assisting the cities of Monroe, North Bend, Mountlake Terrace and Lake Forest Park in their wastewater planning efforts. He is also serving as a local area manager under the King County Regional Infiltration/Inflow Control Program.

Lepage

He is active on several national committees of the American Concrete Institute that develop and maintain standards for the design, construction and repair of concrete structures. Lepage is a member of ACI 374 (Performance-Based Seismic Design of Concrete Buildings), ACI 369 (Seismic Repair and Rehabilitation) and ACI 335 (Composite and Hybrid Structures). He is also involved with the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute and serves on the Earthquake Engineering Committee of the Structural Engineers Association of Washington.

Overton

In his role as COO, Overton manages electrical and technology design for the nation's leading health care facilities, including Providence Medical Centers and Sacred Heart Medical Center Replacement Hospital, a new 800,000-square-foot, 500-bed replacement hospital in Springfield, Ore.
Overton served on the American Society for Healthcare Engineering Planning, Design, and Construction Committee for four years and currently sits on the AIA National Health Care Guidelines Revisions Committee.

Before joining BCRA, Wolf worked as lead designer on many multi-family, single family and non-residential projects. These projects include the Mount Baker Rowing & Sailing Center, the Leschi View Condominiums and Barclay Court, in Seattle.
