Peterson Consulting Engineers of Kirkland added William “Bud” Condrey as survey manager. Condrey has 38 years of land surveying experience, including project management, boundary and topographic surveys. He has experience with projects in Washington, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado and Montana for both private and public sector clients.

Joe Hopper was hired as project engineer. Hopper has 10 years experience in project management, design and construction of commercial, residential and municipal projects. He has a background in civil engineering on projects ranging from stormwater drainage reporting to roadway designs and construction documents.

Architects BCRA of Tacoma added two project architects, Al de Santis and Jennifer Weddermann-Hay. BCRA also hired Jeff McInnis as a civil engineer/project manager.

McInnis is working on the Point Defiance Zoo amphitheater for BCRA. He has served on projects such as the emergency department addition to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia and the new Mason Middle School in Tacoma.

De Santis has 15 years of experience in architectural design in higher education, residential and assisted-living. He is working on projects for Charles Wright Academy in University Place.

Weddermann-Hay has a background in furniture design and metalworking. Past projects include serving as project architect and designer for the Tacoma Police Headquarters and the new jail in Yakima County. She is working on the Point Defiance Kids Zone project team.

Luma Lighting Design, an architectural lighting design firm based in Portland, and a division of PEA Consulting Engineers, announced the addition of Craig Oty.

Oty re-joins Luma Lighting Design as a senior accredited lighting designer and as a registered electrical engineer. He is a professional member of the International Association of Lighting Designers.

Sparling recently added Dallas Anderson as a project manager for an electrical design studio that specializes in health care projects.

Anderson has seven years of design experience, most recently with L'Heureux Page Werner in Great Falls, Mont. His areas of expertise include hospital remodels, fire alarm systems, and electrical and telecom upgrades for educational facilities. Current Sparling projects include the Masonic Retirement Center in Des Moines, the Proton Accelerator Robot at Loma Linda University Medical Center and several other health care projects.

Seattle-based Daigle Design will have seven logos published in Harper Collins' The 4th Big Book of Logos. Daigle designs logos for letterheads, display, print and advertising.

GM Nameplate

Seattle's GM Nameplate added Benjamin Gorenberg as marketing communication specialist. Gorenberg, who has worked on marketing for wireless telecommunications, will work on raising the company's public profile through a media relations plan. GM Nameplate specializes in custom design and manufacturing of nameplates, decals, labels and custom panels. It employs 800 people and has manufacturing facilities in San Jose, Beaverton, Ore., Monroe, N.C., as well as Canada and Singapore.

Quantum Consulting Engineers announced Eric Huang has joined the firm as a design engineer. He is a graduate of the University of Washington, with a master's degree in structural engineering. His recent experience includes work on the Harborview seismic upgrade. He is working on several residential and commercial projects.

Studio Meng Strazzara announced the addition of Randall Alberda, project architect. He will be providing design assistance on Central Washington University's Nicholson Pavilion remodel and Courson Hall seismic renovation. He has 12 years experience on sustainable and green building designs for educational, hospitality and custom residential projects.

Other additions include project architects Forrest Jones, Jeffrey Moore and Greg Wharton.

Jones joins the Daniel J. Evans Library design team. He will be providing construction administration on the Student and Academic Support Services project. Jones has worked on a number of public and private projects in the past 19 years including multi-family residential, educational facilities, hospitals, medical office buildings and continuous care facilities. Moore joins the educational studio. He will work on the Daniel J. Evans Library design team.

With over 20 years experience, Moore has experience in educational, commercial, mixed-use and residential projects.

Wharton joins the residential studio. He has 10 years design experience. He has focused on high-end residential projects in the greater Seattle area.

Poggemeyer Design Group's office in Kirkland has expanded and made internal changes.

Steve Arnold has been promoted to structural engineering project manager. Arnold's experience includes design of several major hotels, commercial buildings, concrete bridges and large scale residential as well as numerous metal stud projects. He is active in the Structural Engineers Association of Washington and is certified in the rapid assessment of earthquake damage.

Khoa Ken Nguyen joined Poggemeyer as a structural engineer. He has expertise in concrete bridge design, road widening and improvement, tunnel inspection and the engineering of medical, military and multi-family housing.

John Medina joined as the firm's civil engineering manager. He has managed public works departments for local agencies in Washington and California, including the city of Sacramento. He will provide marketing and lead the civil engineering division, using his experience in the design and construction of roadways, sewers, storm drains, bridges and public buildings. He also brings experience in traffic engineering, solid waste and transit management.

Kirkland's Westmar Consultants recently promoted Matt Laccinole to manager of U.S. operations. Brad Erickson has joined as manager of U.S. ports and harbors.

RoseWater Engineering

RoseWater Engineering has added Jena Gilman as operations manager. Gilman is a civil engineer with over 20 years experience in transportation and water resources engineering. She is a licensed P.E. in Alaska, British Columbia, Washington, Oregon and California. In addition to operations management, Gilman will also provide project management. She will work in program management for municipalities and port districts; port and harbor engineering and planning; and coastal engineering.
