SvR Design Co. hired
Patty Buchanan as a civil engineer and assistant group lead and
Jeff Roeser as the CAD group lead. Buchanan is a professional engineer and LEED accredited professional with eight years of civil design experience focusing on environmentally responsible design. Buchanan did design work for the Kitsap SEED project, stormwater work on the Yale Avenue project for the Blume Co. and a feasibility study for the Bayview Center development for the Goosefoot Co. Roeser is a professional engineer with seven years of experience. He is responsible for managing CAD staff, scheduling projects and maintaining the firm's CAD standards and programs.
Taylor Gregory Butterfield Architects of Edmonds hired
Adora Maguire as a business development coordinator,
Josh Weisbrod as a draftsman and
Melanie Matheson as administrative support. Maguire has more than 18 years of experience in marketing and will oversee marketing.
Hopper Dennis Jellison Engineers, Planners and Landscape Architects hired
Tim L. Neisinger as a
design engineer at its Pasco branch. Neisinger is an Everett native who has worked on a variety of civil engineering projects.
Two members of Triad Associates' site design and landscape architecture department,
Katherine (Kellye) Hilde and
John Salisbury, have received landscape architect licenses from the state of Washington. Hilde has seven years of experience, four at Triad, specializing in park design, land planning and site development design, and residential landscape and planting design. Salisbury has 16 years of experience, with the last three at Triad. His specialties include playfields and parks, site security, trails and street landscape enhancement.
Joseph Greif Architects in Seattle hired
Matthew Smith as an associate to work as a project designer and manager. His projects include a Queen Anne luxury triplex in Seattle and four homes in Madison Park.
Bragdon Shields was also promoted to principal. Shields has 17 years of experience. He is working on a Hunts Point residential renovation and the Summer House in Vaughn Bay.
Interface Engineering promoted three employees to principals and partners: Steve Dacus, a senior mechanical engineer specializing in energy design, commissioning and sustainable strategies; Doug Smith, a senior mechanical engineer and LEED accredited professional leading the Washington mechanical design team from the Kirkland office; and Dave Williams, a senior mechanical engineer and LEED accredited professional who is team leader of Interface's health care design group. A dozen employees were promoted to associate. They are: Senior Technology Designer Steve Kelly who heads the technology design group; Senior Mechanical Engineer and LEED accredited professional Duane Monroe, a senior staff member with the health care design group; Kenton Aikens, a senior engineer in the fire/life safety design group; Senior Electrical Designer Mark Jackson, head of Interface's retail team for nearly 10 years; Senior Mechanical Designer Scott Holum, in Interface's plumbing design group; Senior Mechanical Engineer Brian Butler, a LEED accredited professional and team leader; Andrew Lasse, a senior mechanical engineer and team leader; Dennis Obritschkewitsch, a senior electrical designer who evaluates future and current projects; Senior Mechanical Engineer Kevin Duell, a LEED accredited professional and team leader; Melissa Crosman, who leads the marketing team; Senior Designer Kathleen Roach, who leads Interface's fire/life safety design group; Becky Ellsworth, a senior electrical engineer and team leader; Senior Electrical Engineer Ken Spencer, a LEED accredited professional and team leader and Senior Electrical Designer Chris Larson, a LEED accredited professional and team leader.

MulvannyG2 Architecture hired
Scott Douglas as a principal in its corporate mixed-use team. Douglas has 26 years of experience and will oversee corporate mixed-use projects including the Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association project in Bothell, and Bellevue Towers. Douglas was development manager on the Escala and Leland Place condo projects and worked on One Pacific Tower in Seattle.
Coffman Engineers hired
Daniel Kiral as an electrical designer in its Seattle office. Kiral has more than 10 years of experience in AutoCAD operation. His past projects include the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas and the Soka University of America in Aliso Viejo, Calif.
Caron Architecture hired five new employees.
Andrew Kluess has eight years of experience with large-scale public projects on the national and international levels and is working on construction administration on several local projects.
Nora Ng has four years of experience with commercial and mixed-use design and is working on multi-family projects.
Nathaniel Harrold is returning to Seattle to join Caron after spending time on the Gulf Coast as a volunteer designer and project manager.
Daniel Stewart and
Nick Pancheau are recent transplants to Seattle. Stewart has two years of experience in residential design and Pancheau is a recent graduate of Montana State University.
Mahlum Architects named three new associates,
Erica Hildebrand and
Jay Hindmarsh in its Seattle office and
Amy Noe in Portland. Hildebrand, an employee for five years, heads the company’s in-house graphic design team. Hindmarsh has been an employee for two years. In addition to his architectural design duties, Hindmarsh leads the effort to recruit and hire architects for the firm’s Seattle office. He is working on Clark Hall at the University of Washington and will soon be working on the renovation of Nathan Hale High School. Noe has been with Mahlum for eight years. She helped expand the firm’s interior architecture and design practice before moving to Portland two years ago. Her recent projects include the North Portland Clinic for Providence Medical Group, Pacific University’s first LEED gold student housing project.
CB Engineers hired Vicky Williams as a senior electrical designer in its Bellevue office, Patrick Cooper as a senior plumbing designer and Jason Hewitt joined the firm as a mechanical engineer. Williams has 28 years of experience in the electrical field including commercial and multi-use residential. Williams worked on Mirabella in Seattle, 2200 Westlake in Seattle and Horizon House in Seattle. Cooper has more than 30 years of experience on projects ranging from medical to high rises. Hewitt, a LEED accredited professional, has experience with energy-efficient HVAC design, energy modeling and analysis. The firm also hired Kyle Thornton as an electrical CAD operator and Richard Juntunen and Max Kang as mechanical designers. Thornton is working on the USS Arizona Memorial Visitors Center, Pacific Connections Garden at Washington Park Arboretum, Icon Tower at 600 Wall St., and the Ft. Lewis Locomotive Maintenance Building. Juntunen’s experience includes telemetry, controls, and instrumentation. Kang was born in South Korea and is working on high rise projects in the Seattle area.
