Baylis Architects promoted
Thomas Chan, Graham Langridge and
Joseph Lantz. Chan is now project manager on several high-end single-family estates. Langridge is now job captain on several mixed-use projects, including Landes Apartments and Stone Way Village. Lantz is lead in the construction phase of the Fairview Condominiums in Harbour Pointe.
Northwest Mechanical Engineering hired
Jim Rogers. Rogers is providing mechanical systems design for Liberty Lake Community Church, the Physician’s Lab Clinic, and the University of Idaho’s steam pipe replacement project.
NAC|Architecture hired
KaLee Paul-Quanz as human resources director. She is a certified professional in human resources and fills a new position that encompasses all human resources functions, including employee recruitment and placement, benefits and compensation, and training and development.
Art Anderson Associates of Bremerton hired electrical engineer
Robert Hoyer. Hoyer has more than 40 years of experience and served as an engineer for the federal government in positions at Naval Submarine Base, Bangor and Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. He also served as a Navy department head in the Canal Zone and Central America for three years. His recent work includes an electrical substation rebuild, and a new hangar and cargo facility at SeaTac airport.
LMN Architects hired Thomas Lehn to lead the expanded interiors group. Lehn has more than 25 years of experience and past projects include the Compuware Headquarters in Detroit, Arthur Anderson and Co. in Kansas City, and Domino’s World Headquarters in Ann Arbor. He is working on the $22 million Washington State Convention & Trade Center conversion project and Expedia’s new headquarters in Bellevue’s Tower 333.

Tracey Brown. Hirsch is a licensed architect with more than 25 years of experience in planning, programming and design. He is working on functional and space programming studies for Highline-West Seattle Mental Health’s new Burien Campus. Jensvold has experience in facility planning and programming and is working on the University of Washington’s tower project. Brown is working on her masters of architecture at the University of Washington while working at DKA.

Wilson’s past projects include a Hard Rock Coffee Shop and Pool Side in San Diego, the 2201 Condos in Bellevue and Corvallis High School. Ellenwood has nine years of experience. He has been working on single-family and light commercial projects in Indiana and multi-family projects in Seattle. Pratt is working on a 23-story condo tower in San Jose, Calif. Morse rejoins AMAA with 30 years of experience. Morse is part of the team for 2000 Third Ave., a high-rise apartment tower in Seattle, and is assisting in the support of Autodesk Revit Architecture. Sanchez worked in residential design for three years in Ecuador and for the last two years has worked on commercial, historic and residential projects for Yolo County, Calif. She is working on Folsom Station. McElvany spent a year in residential design and four years in health care design in California. She is working on tenant improvement jobs for Pacific Retirement Services. Borboa has four years of experience and her past projects include the Hotel 1000 in Seattle. Borboa is working on Avalon Towers and Wells Fargo Civica.

Portland architecture firm Fletcher Farr Ayotte has named six new associates:
Erica Ceder, Richard Grace, Brenda Katz, Hai Luc, Tim Mitchell and
Mary Smith. Ceder has been with the firm for four years. She was job captain on the White Stag block rehabilitation. Project designer Grace has been a member of the staff for two years and is working on the Richland Public Library Renovation and Addition, OSU Education Hall Rehabilitation and the Lebanon Justice Center and Library. Katz, who joined the firm three years ago, is an interior designer working on the Boise West Branch Library and the Pacific Crest Community School renovation. Luc is a project architect who has been with the firm for 12 years. His projects include the ODOT Sylvan Maintenance Facility and the Richland Public Library renovation and addition. Mitchell is a member of the construction management team for the new Paradise Visitor Center and the Paradise Inn and Annex Rehabilitation, and has been with the firm for seven years. Smith is an interior designer who has been with the firm for three years and recently completed work on The Wyatt apartments. She is working on the Clearwater Casino and Resort and a new office building at Cascade Station.

Monica Werber is a project interior designer. She has more than eight years of experience with multi-family housing, corporate, hospitality and retail projects and is working on the Shorewood Heights project on Mercer Island.
Oya Findik was hired as a project interior designer. She is working on the Allison Inn and Spa in Newberg, Ore.
Marieke Stientjes Rack joined GGLO as a landscape architecture designer. She is also working on the Allison Inn and Spa.
Laura Ballock was hired as a landscape architecture designer. She has four years of experience and is working on the Atria projects in California.
Renée Marquardt was hired as a project interior designer. Marquardt has more than 18 years of experience and is working on the Allison Inn and Spa.
Jamie Newton was hired as an interior design intern. Newton is working on the Atria senior living renovations in California, the Allison Inn and Spa and the TCR Ballard project.
Leah Mustian is an interior design intern working on a multifamily high rise at Sixth and Lenora, and on the Allison Inn and Spa.
Clark/Kjos Architects hired
Cynthia Johnston as an interior designer. Johnston has more than 15 years of experience in conceptual design, space planning, and programming for health care and corporate interiors. She has worked on projects for Swedish Medical Center, Northwest Kidney Center and Group Health Cooperative.
Group Mackenzie hired
Jenny Richmond in its landscape architecture department. Richmond has more than eight years of experience and was recently elected president of the Oregon chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects. She is working on Thatcher Park and Forest Glen Park in Forest Grove, Concordia University Athletic Fields, and the Parks & Recreation master plan for the city of Woodburn.
CDi Engineers said professional mechanical engineer
Dawne Herrick received her fire protection engineer license. Herrick's past projects include the U.S. Coast Guard Shore Operations/Administration Building in Seattle and the University of Washington's Friday Harbor Labs Fire Safety pre-design.
