Maria Vanhoff as an interior designer. Formerly a principal with Zane Architecture, Zane specializes in mixed-use, commercial, professional and residential design. Smart, previously of Steven Meek Architects, has seven years of architectural design experience. Vanhoff, formerly with Integrus Architecture and Design Source, has 16 years as an interior designer. Bernardo-Wills of Spokane provides architecture, landscape architecture, interior design and graphic design.
Wilson Engineering hired
Rhett Winter as a consulting engineer. Formerly with David Evans and Associates, Winter has civil engineering and project management experience with site development, stormwater, roads, parking and utilities. Wilson of Bellingham provides civil, structural, surveying and GIS services.
Jacobs Associates promoted
Andrew McGlenn to associate in its Seattle office. He has 14 years of experience and a background in geology and structural engineering. He is leading design of the permanent tunnel lining for the Airport Link Project in Brisbane, Australia. His local projects include the Brightwater Conveyance System and University Link. Jacobs focuses on underground projects, and works in the water, wastewater and transportation sectors. Offices are in the United States, New Zealand and Australia.
HDJ Design Group promoted
Stacy J. Frost to engineering manager. Frost has been with the firm for nine years and specializes in port, commercial and medical projects. Vancouver-based HDJ provides engineering, planning, landscape architecture and surveying.
Hart Crowser appointed
David Winter as vice president of business development. He has 29 years of engineering experience and has worked on regional, national and international projects, the firm said. Winter will be responsible for marketing and business development, market expansion, emerging market evaluation and client service company-wide. He is a senior principal who has worked 20 years with Hart Crowser, an environmental and engineering consulting firm headquartered in Seattle, with offices in Edmonds and Portland.

Timothy McCormack as regional division manager of the environmental engineering and science practice and
Caroline Brabrook as a transportation engineer in its Bellevue office. McCormack has 20-plus years of experience in environmental management and consulting. He will oversee the Bellevue, Bremerton, and Sumner offices with an emphasis on environmental investigation and remediation, contaminant hydrogeology, environmental compliance, impaired asset management and sustainable property development. McCormack holds a geologist license and was managing partner for a local consulting firm. Brabrook has more than 15 years of experience in transportation projects, specializing in intelligent transportation systems. She was with a local consulting firm and managed the Seattle Duwamish ITS project. Parametrix is an engineering and planning firm with offices in the western United States.

Jorge Gamboa as senior CAD designer. Maingot has 10-plus years experience in structural design and project management on mixed-use, hotel, office, residential and parking projects. He chairs the Post-Tensioning Institute Sustainability Committee. He recently completed project management for Seattle's Rollin Street loft project, Avalon Towers Bellevue and NoHo III, a Los Angeles office building. Hopper has nine years of experience in structural design on mixed-use, hotel, office, and parking in Washington and California. He recently completed structural design of Bellevue's Avalon Meydenbauer and Ballard's Canal Station, and designed a shear wall system for NoHo III. Gamboa has 19 years of experience in AutoCAD drafting and two with building information modeling. He is working on Seattle's Kinects apartment tower, and Seattle's 815 Pine residential tower. Bellevue-based CKC provides structural engineering.
