Tetra Tech hired Sarah Hamel as a senior civil engineer, Leanne Wilkins as a marketing coordinator, Carrie Walker as an intern interior designer, Catie Young as a receptionist, and Zack Corcoran and Rachel Harris as project assistants. Hamel has a background in civil infrastructure, transportation engineering and site development, and was project engineer on several low impact development projects. She will work on family housing in Homer, Alaska. Wilkins has web design experience and previously was a marketing assistant for GVA Kidder Mathews. She will prepare proposals, interview materials and presentations for the facilities group. Walker has a bachelor's in interior design from North Dakota University and interned with Merrill & Associates in Honolulu. Young, a Boise State University graduate, will work in the South Seattle office. Corcoran rejoins Tetra Tech's Richland office. He will administer details for U.S. General Services Administration port of entry projects at Portal, N.D., and Santa Teresa, N.M. Harris has a degree from Muhlenberg College. She will work on projects for Amtrak and King County. Tetra Tech provides consulting, architecture and engineering, and technical services worldwide.

Trindera Engineering of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, hired Janelle Lee as an electrical project engineer. Lee has 9-plus years of electrical engineering experience in industrial and military settings. She will work on projects for industrial clients. She previously worked for K&N Electric. Trindera is an electrical and control systems engineering and consulting firm.

Architects Rasmussen Triebelhorn elected Rhonda Gillogly as principal and hired Allen Kabanuk as a job captain and Shauna Cowan as marketing coordinator. Gillogly is director of business development. She is managing the court/jail renovation project for Pierce County and ADA renovations for Pierce Transit Tacoma Dome Station. She has 26 years of architecture and construction management experience. Kabanuk, with eight-plus years of experience, has a background in public and private projects, including criminal justice and retail. He is working on the Kittitas County jail expansion. Shauna Cowan is a graduate of Green River Community College, and has experience in construction and land development marketing. She will do marketing support for business development.

GN Northern hired Karl Harmon as regional manager for the new Inland Northwest office in Spokane Valley. The Yakima-based firm provides engineering and environmental consulting, and construction material testing, with offices in Kennewick, and Hermiston and Hood River, Ore.

Westwood Professional Services

Gonzalez
Westwood Professional Services hired Robert Gonzalez for the national wind energy group. Based out of Portland, he will manage engineering design and multi-disciplined projects in the Pacific Northwest and elsewhere. Gonzalez has worked for more than 11 years in residential, commercial and wind farm development. Westwood is a national land and energy development consultant.

Architecture and design firm Callison said it has promoted 15 people to principal, two to director and one to associate principal to strengthen core markets and geographic regions. The promotions are intended to broaden design, business development and project management capabilities, and also mirror Callison's growth plans in markets and offices, particularly in commercial interiors, New York and China. Many of the new principals will continue to support the firm's recent joint venture with HAYA Architects, an architecture and design firm in Beijing. Those promoted in the Seattle office to principal and their market specialties are: Darryl Custer, Peter Krech and Michael Lee, China commercial; John Jex and Leonard Ruff, North America commercial; and Carolyn Jones, Mike Riggs, Paul Scanlon, Dave Scurlock and Alex Shapleigh, global retail. Xiaoli Liu was promoted to director, China commercial in the Seattle office, and Ali Khatibi was promoted to associate principal, global retail in Seattle. Kathryn Mickel was promoted to principal, North America commercial, in the Scottsdale office. In New York, Steven Derwoed, David Kepron and Kenneth Lill were promoted to principal, global retail. Xiaolei Ouyang was promoted to principal, China commercial, in the Shanghai office and John Von Mohr was promoted to director, global retail, in Dallas. Callison specializes in retail, corporate, mixed-use, mission critical, financial, residential, urban planning, health care and hospitality. It also has offices in Dubai, London and Mexico City.
