AIA Project of the Month: This field house has an artistic alter ego

Tall windows and dramatic shadows mark the new ceramic art studio at Whatcom Community College. A small water feature is outside the window to the right. The field house, which holds locker rooms for visiting teams, is along the opposite side of the building, at left.

The best building on the campus of Whatcom Community College might be the field house. It's a fine facility, stretching along the eastern edge of the turf, with a concrete deck that overlooks the action.
