Pier 70

Pier 70 recently received the 2000 Redevelopment/Renovation of the Year award from the National Association of Industrial Properties. Triad Pier 70 LLC is the owner, and Triad Development, Inc. is the developer of the $15 million, 105,903-square-foot development.

The general contractor is J.R. Abbott Construction; North Shore Sheet Metal did the exterior; Auburn Mechanical was the plumbing contractor; Robert Fossatti Associates was structural engineer; RCI Interiors did the lobby; Emerald Air was mechanical engineer; Notkin Engineering did the building commissioning; and Johnson Electric was the electrical engineer.

Design was by Fuller/Sears Architects.

The architects created a contemporary interpretation of the working waterfront, creating an interplay between traditional pier building forms and nautical and shipping references.

InfoSpace is the primary tenant, with 87,000 square feet, and Waterfront, a seafood restaurant, has a little less than 10,000 square feet.

Triad Operations has 3,600 square feet, and there is 4,500 square feet for additional office or restaurant space.

The development also includes 115 parking spaces.
