High-speed modem access and Web TVs are available in all rooms. Guests of the 175-room hotel in Newark, Calif., also can take advantage of a wireless Internet system with a range of up to 1,200 feet.
In addition to being a treat for techies, W Suites is the first extended-stay hotel for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, one of the largest firms in the hotel business.
Designed by Jensen Fey Architecture and Planning of Seattle, the five-story, 180,000-square-foot hotel has traditional meeting facilities as well as two suites designed to be creative "think tanks." To inspire creative thought, think-tank suites are equipped with comfortable, overstuffed furniture.
A Zen-influenced garden, a café and bar, and a fitness center overlooking a swimming pool are additional features of the hotel.

Webcor of San Francisco was the general contractor. Other design consultants include civil engineer BKF of Walnut Creek, Calif., structural engineer DCI of Bellevue, and Knox Landscape Architects of Sonoma, Calif.
