An online ad campaign by the Northwest firm WhiteRunkle Advertising won the Best Online Media Ad for 2004 from among 2,500 entries at an awards ceremony in New York recently held by Eyeblaster, a company that works on online media ad technology. Other finalists in the competition were designers for ads such as Purina, Smirnoff, "Kill Bill" and XBox "Counter Strike." The WhiteRunkle's entry was part of a campaign by National Geographic. WhiteRunkle has 60 people in Seattle and Spokane offices.
The Seattle graphic design and advertising firm Visual Ventures added Patrick Mahoney as a graphic designer. Mahoney was a graphic designer at Eddie Bauer.
Scott O'Halloran in the Tacoma office of the law firm Williams Kastner & Gibbs was picked as to be a member of the Puget Sound chapter of the American Inns of Court. American Inns of Court (AIC) are designed to improve the skills, professionalism and ethics of the bench and bar.
The chapter includes justices, judges and lawyers. O'Halloran was also appointed to the Washington Defense Trial Lawyers as committee chair of the South Sound Region. O'Halloran practices general civil and commercial litigation.

In Seattle, Ada Ko advises domestic and international clients on international business transactions. Kathleen A. Nelson focuses on commercial and environmental insurance litigation. Brian Zeringer works on commercial litigation, product liability and real estate. In Olympia, Robin Dale works on governmental regulatory law. Erik D. Price focuses on government and regulatory issues. In Portland, Pilar C. French does commercial litigation and Benjamin G. Lenhart corporate. The premier edition of Outdoors NW magazine has hit the streets at over 1,000 individual distribution points in Seattle, the South Sound, Portland/ Vancouver and the Columbia River Gorge. The magazine is owed by Carolyn Price and Greg Price of Seattle. Formerly Sports Etc, Outdoors NW covers active outdoor activities. Outdoors is the flagship publication of Price Media.
Dendreon Corp. named James V. Caggiano vice president of sales and marketing. Caggiano will work on marketing the company's lead product Provenge(R), an immunotherapy to treat prostate cancer. Caggiano was with Abbott Laboratories. Dendreon is a biotechnology company based in Seattle.
Wayne D. Tanaka has been reelected managing member of the Ogden Murphy Wallace law firm for 2005. He is a member of the firm's municipal practice area, handling land use, growth management, financing and public records issues. The firm has offices in Seattle and Wenatchee.
Garry L. Alexander has been elected to a second four-year term as chief justice of the Washington Supreme Court. He will be the spokesman, preside over public hearings and be administrative head of the state's trial and appellate court system.
