Keller Rohrback said Gretchen Freeman Cappio and Erin Riley have been elected to partnership positions. Cappio is a member of the Complex Litigation Group practicing in the areas of class action and complex litigation, consumer protection and employment litigation. Riley's practice focuses on ERISA breach of fiduciary duty litigation.
The Edgewater Hotel hired Dave Cocks to its senior management team as managing director. Cocks worked at Gemstone Hotels & Resorts in Park City, Utah, as vice president of operations. He has 30 years of experience managing hotels and resorts.
F5 Networks hired John Dionne and Kathleen Ferraro to the data solutions leadership team. Dionne is VP of worldwide data solutions sales, and Ferraro is VP of product management and product marketing for data solutions. Dionne worked with Polycom. Ferraro has 25 years experience in the technology industries with companies like EMC, Clam Associates and Proteon.

Law firm Lane Powell hired Brian Bodine as a shareholder in the Intellectual Property and Technology Practice Group. Bodine was previously managing partner of the Seattle office of Merchant and Gould.
The Oregon Zoo's governing agency, Metro, hired Kimberly Smith as the zoo's new director. Smith will begin her duties in March. She has 25 years of zoo experience, most recently serving as vice president of animal care at the Brookfield Zoo in Chicago. The Oregon Zoo is undertaking $125 million worth of bond-related improvements over the next 15 years.
Food Services of America and affiliated Services Group of America companies have joined the Independent Marketing Alliance. In doing so, FSA joins a select group of regional independent foodservice distributors who own and direct the alliance. FSA is the nation's sixth largest broadline foodservice distributor serving customers in 15 western and midwestern states from nine regional distribution centers in Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Idaho, Montana and North Dakota.

LeMaster Daniels announced Don DeSantis, CPA, has been elected a principal of the leadership group. DeSantis joined the firm as a senior manager in 2007 with the addition of the Bellevue office. He has 30 years of experience in the accounting and business consulting field.
Salish Lodge & Spa made three executive appointments. Kevin Shoemaker is director of food and beverage, Brad Komen is executive chef and Matthew Mina is sous chef. Shoemaker was director of food and beverage at Hotel 1000 in Seattle. Komen has 20 years experience in the restaurant industry and worked at Restaurants Unlimited at Palomino, Cutters Bayhouse and Triples. Mina was executive chef at The Sorrento Hotel, where he was selected from a pool of culinary professionals in an Iron Chef-style competition.
Lasher Holzapfel Sperry & Ebberson hired A. Kyle Johnson as of counsel. Johnson has 43 years of experience practicing law in Washington state and was previously a partner with the firm, which was then Lasher & Johnson, from 1976 to 1989. Johnson recently founded The Johnson Law Group and has worked at Stanislaw Ashbaugh and Chism Jacobson & Johnson.
