Northwest law firm Lane Powell said seven attorneys in the Seattle and Portland offices have been elected to shareholder, effective Jan. 1. New shareholders in the Seattle office are Paige Davis, Benjamin Roesch, Stephanie Stephens and Andrew Yates. Davis concentrates on cross-border tax and business planning. Roesch works in insurance coverage disputes for the London market and on complex commercial litigation. Stephens represents banks, finance companies and other lenders. Yates focus on complex commercial disputes. New shareholders in the Portland office are Julie Engbloom, Jill Long and Parna Mehrbani.
Seattle City Council President Richard Conlin was elected to a two-year term as a director of the National League of Cities. Conlin is one of 17 new board members chosen to represent 1,600 municipalities governing the organization. Conlin is the first Seattle elected official to serve on the NLC board since former Council member Sue Donaldson, who served in 1997-1998.

Helsell Fetterman, a Seattle-based law firm, hired Lauren Parris as an associate attorney. Parris is a 2011 law school graduate whose practice will focus on individual clients and business clients in general tort litigation, contract matters and risk management. Parris twice served as a legal intern at Amazon.com.
Bellevue-based Clark Nuber, a CPA and consulting firm, announced a series of promotions. Shelly Archuleta, Allison Kollack, Jeff Meier, Conrad Miller, Hillary Parker and Megan Ryan are now senior manager. Janon Geer is now a manager. Lilian Chiu, Courtney Hirata, Nate Knutson, Jon Montalvo, Patrick Ottinger and Sara Sutorius are now seniors.
The Fearey Group, a Seattle-based public relations and public affairs firm, announced promotions. Chris Nettles is now chief administrative officer. Nettles has been at Fearey for almost 13 years. She is in charge of HR, accounting and IT support. Bridget Gundlach, formerly Boland, is now account supervisor. Gundlach has been with The Fearey Group for a year and focuses on commercial real estate, health care and specialty retail.

Bellevue-based Symetra Financial hired David Goldstein as senior vice president and general counsel. He replaces George Pagos, who retired Sept. 30 with more than 35 years of service. Goldstein spent the past 23 years with Sutherland Asbill & Brennan in the Washington, D.C., office.
Holland America Line promoted Jack Littlemore to deputy director, revenue management. He is responsible for building fares and promotions in the Polar Online booking engine, as well as managing passenger stateroom inventory. Littlemore was senior manager of revenue management and began working with the company in 2001.
Trade Tech, a Bellevue-based global supplier of cloud-based solutions for the logistics industry, hired Bill Fehr as director of sales, North America and Patrick Clancy as programming manager. Fehr has 15 years of experience moving client/server and legacy software to cloud-based web applications. Clancy has 17 years of digital media experience developing web applications and interactive media.
