Cedarbrook Lodge in Seattle hired Ousmane Diop as the rooms division manager. Diop will manage the front desk, reservations, valet and bell services, and housekeeping. He recently worked as front office and service express manager at The Westin Seattle.
Fidelma McGinn, executive director of Artist Trust, has resigned to become vice president of philanthropic services at the Seattle Foundation. She will remain at Artist Trust through mid-January 2012 to support its search for a new executive director. McGinn spent six years at Artist Trust. The Seattle Foundation has $600 million in assets. Its mission is to create a healthy community through philanthropy and leadership.
The Puget Sound Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America selected Bob Frause to receive its Jay Rockey Lifetime Achievement Award. Established in 2002, the award recognizes the career achievements of a Puget Sound area public relations professional. Frause has 38 years of experience, and is chairman and CEO at Frause, a communications firm with 21 employees.

Larry Brown of Auburn, Anne Fennessy of Seattle and Wayne Martin of Kennewick have been appointed by Gov. Chris Gregoire to the Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges board. Each will serve a four-year term. Brown is legislative and political director for the Aerospace Machinists Union District Lodge 751. Fennessy is a partner of Cocker Fennessy public affairs and consulting. Martin is environmental scientist and project management office director at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.
The Allen Institute for Brain Science promoted Chinh Dang to the new position of chief technology officer. Dang has led design, development and support of the institute's Allen Brain Atlas. Dang joined the organization in 2004, initially as data pipeline manager.
The Fearey Group, a Seattle public relations and public affairs firm, hired James Rae McIntosh as senior account executive. McIntosh is a media outreach specialist who focuses on strategic communications plans. He spent four years at The Keller Group.

Everett-based Intermec hired Yukio Morikubo as senior vice president and general counsel. Morikubo has 20 years of experience and was general counsel and corporate secretary at drugstore.com from 2006 until their acquisition in 2011.
Bothell-based SonoSite, a bedside and point-of-care ultrasound business, hired Brian Noyes as vice president of marketing for North America and South America. Noyes has 20 years of experience and worked with Ethicon Endo-Surgery, a Johnson & Johnson company.
Ventures, a retail store that helps launch local entrepreneurs, has moved to Pike Place Market. It is at 1501 Pike Place, suite No. 521. Ventures is the retail incubator of Washington Community Alliance for Self-Help, a local nonprofit that gives business training, support and access to capital to low-income entrepreneurs.
