Paula Boggs and Aya Hamilton have joined the Seattle Art Museum's Board of Trustees. Boggs is executive vice president and general counsel for Starbucks. Hamilton is managing director, global marketing manager for the Citigroup Private Bank in Seattle.
Robert Bond was named senior vice president at Washington Mutual. He is group manager of consumer banking in Western Washington, overseeing retail banking and branch operations. Bond formerly held a similar position as group manager of consumer banking in the bank's Intermountain Region.
The Sorrento Hotel's Brian Scheehser, executive chef of the Hunt Club at the Sorrento, received the Outstanding Employee Service Award from Preferred Hotels & Resorts Worldwide. He has been at the hotel for 10 years.
The 5th Avenue Theatre added Stephen P. Reynolds to its 16-member board of directors. He is president and CEO of Puget Energy. He has headed the company since 2002.
Barbara Leach, a legal secretary with Williams Kastner & Gibbs in the Tacoma office, was selected one of three finalists for the National Association of Legal Secretaries Award of Excellence. She won the NALS of Pierce County Award of Excellence in 2001-02 and the state award for 2002.
The Cove restaurant and bar has opened in the Captain Whidbey Inn in Coupeville. James and Selina Roberts are leasing the restaurant space from John Colby Stone, longtime owner of the Captain Whidbey Inn. James Roberts has worked as chef de cuisine in Seattle’s Rovers restaurant.

Preston Gates & Ellis announced that two associates have joined its Seattle office. David Linehan represents clients in a variety of practice areas, including state and nationwide antitrust class actions, smaller breaches of contract and fiduciary duty, and insurance coverage disputes. Charles E. Shigley is an associate in the Real Estate, Finance and Bankruptcy Department. Shigley recently represented the acquisition and financing of a senior living facility in Bellevue.

Judy Gibbons has been appointed corporate vice president of MSN International group. She most recently served as vice president of MSN EMEA. Gibbons will direct sales, marketing and business development for MSN International. The new group comprises all business outside North America for MSN, uniting hundreds of employees who manage MSN sites in more than 30 countries and serving more than 200 million PC users and mobile device users. Gibbons is ranked by the Wall Street Journal Europe as among the top 20 most influential European business women.
Silverdale-based Radix Marine, a publicly traded company specializing in homeland defense initiatives in the marine industry, has signed a letter of intent for partial acquisition of Radix Ortega Group, a minority-owned marine and environmental engineering firm based in Seattle. Under terms of the letter of intent, Radix Marine will acquire up to 40 percent of Radix Ortega, preserving Radix Ortega's status as a minority business enterprise at both the federal and state levels. Radix Ortega has contracts with Washington State's Department of Transportation, the Port of Seattle, and the U.S. Navy Engineering Field Activity Northwest, as well as environmental assessment work for marine construction projects at the Naval Shipyard Puget Sound in Bremerton. Miguel Ortega, founder and owner of Radix Ortega, will remain president and CEO after the merger.
James S. Andrasick has been chosen president and CEO of Matson Navigation Co., the largest subsidiary of Alexander & Baldwin Inc., effective Aug. 1. He has held the position on an interim basis since July 1, 2002, and will continue as executive vice president of A&B. Andrasick will move from Hawaii to the Bay Area. Honolulu-based A&B is involved in ocean transportation and intermodal services.
InSpa, a local company that operates three day spas, announced that a fourth store has opened in Issaquah. The new store is in the East Lake Sammamish Center. Colleen Stone is founder and CEO. Other stores are located in the University Village, Bellevue Square and Woodinville.
