Seattle advertising and public relations agency KNCB Dave hired Dan Branley as senior vice president and director of public relations. Branley will work on strategic planning and staff development. Leslie Cohan joins as an account supervisor to oversee public relations campaigns. Tamara Broughton is assistant account executive. Mike Pfab is a graphic designer and Katie Robertson is an administrative assistant.
Glacier Bancorp of Kalispell, Mont., said its Idaho subsidiary Mountain West Bank agreed to acquire American West Bank's Ione branch in Pend Oreille County. The transaction is scheduled to close in early June.
Seattle company Trubion Pharmaceuticals named Daniel J. Burge senior vice president of clinical development. Burge will develop clinical and regulatory strategies for bringing products to market. Burge was vice president of development at Amgen in Seattle. He was also with Immunex and managed a clinical rheumatology practice in Wilmington, Del.
Seattle clothing company Cutter & Buck appointed Tom Danowski vice president and manager of its marketing group. Henry Fielding resigned as vice president and products group manager. Danowski was a business development and branding consultant for national marketers and retailers, and worked with Chateau Ste. Michelle winery, Coca-Cola USA and Kraft Foods.

Seattle City Council has an opening on the Seattle City Light Advisory Board, which advises on policies, business strategies and performance. The board looks at the utility's finances, power supply, power marketing, risk management, environmental protection, energy conservation and other areas as deemed appropriate by the Mayor and Council. Maura O'Neill, a former environmental analyst for Seattle City Light, resigned from the board. The Seattle Public Library's Citizen Implementation Review Panel has openings for two members. The panel monitors the "Libraries for All" bond measure. Volunteers are appointed to three-year terms. They must be Seattle residents with a background in capital projects construction, management or finance. The Bellevue Entrepreneur Center has received a $15,000 grant from the Seattle Foundation to support programs to help Eastside small businesses. The center was created to organize scattered resources into a single network for those seeking to start or expand small businesses. It offers counseling, referrals, financing and consulting services.
