Seattle-based biopharmaceutical company Omeros Corp. named Wayne R. Gombotz vice president of pharmaceutical operations. He'll oversee product development and manufacturing. Gombotz was a vice president of science and pharmaceutical development for Corixa, and also a director of analytical chemistry at Immunex Corp.
Southold, N.Y.-based company Sea Tow Services International plans to open a new location in Tacoma this week, and one in Seattle on July 1. The marine assistance organization serves 135,000 members and has about 100 locations throughout the United States, Australia, Europe and Puerto Rico. Sea Tow also announced the sale and transfer of ownership of three existing franchise areas in South Carolina, Florida and New York.
Kirkland's Nextel Partners, which offers wireless services in mid-sized and rural markets, promoted Jim Ryder to chief operating officer, Cori Tellefson to vice president of people development, and Barry Rowan to executive vice president. Ryder was a vice president of sales and marketing, and will now lead 850 partners around the country. Tellefson replaces Mark Fanning, who will continue to serve the company in a non-executive position as vice president of organizational development. Bellevue-based Paccar has named Kenneth R. Gangl senior vice president. Gangl has six years of experience with Paccar and has been vice president of financial services. Paccar designs and makes trucks and industrial winches. It also provides financial services and distributes truck parts.
Meghann Glavin has joined the public policy and management consulting practice Berk & Associates. Glavin worked for Seattle's Office of Economic Development and has also done work in urban redevelopment at the Downtown Schenectady Improvement Corp. She joins Berk's strategic planning and market analysis teams.
Foster Pepper & Shefelman added Gillis E. Reavis to its Seattle law office. Reavis is a member of the litigation practice group and focuses on hazardous waste cleanup, water quality, insurance and toxic torts. Reavis was a partner with Brown Reavis & Manning in Seattle and was also a visiting professor at the University of Texas School of Law. Foster Pepper also has offices in Portland, Anchorage and Spokane.

Elgin Olrogg will join Viking Bank's Ballard team as vice president and relationship manager. Olrogg specializes in maritime lending and has 25 years of banking experience. He is a board member and treasurer of the North Pacific Fishing Vessel Owners Association. Viking offers business banking services, commercial real estate lending and insurance to Puget Sound-area businesses. It has branches in Bellevue, Tacoma, Fife, Poulsbo and South Seattle.
The Port of Tacoma said its planning and logistics director J. Michael Zachary is the first industry representative to be appointed to an advisory committee for the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of the Treasury. The committee was set up in the 1980s so the private sector could advise the Department of the Treasury on customs operations and policy.
The International Association of Business Leaders recognized Sheryl Willert of Williams, Kastner & Gibbs' Seattle law office with a leadership award. She is a national speaker on sexual harassment, age discrimination and race discrimination. She has also litigated cases involving professional negligence, contracts, personal injury and civil rights. Association members come from 90 countries.
Chriss Gigliotti has joined the information technology firm Ajilon Consulting as district manager. He has 20 years of experience in strategic and tactical business and IT guidance. Gigliotti will lead a locally based IT project consulting team, work on business development and manage client relations. Ajilon Consulting is based in Towson, Md.
