Tiny Alaskan village has $23M road plan

    Residents of King Cove want to build a $23 million marine-road link to access the airport at Cold Bay. The route would require a hovercraft or ferry to cross the bay.

    As the crow flies it's just 18 miles from King Cove, Alaska, to the airport that is the fishing village's link to the outside world, but the terrain is so rugged it might as well be 100 miles.
