Look uphill from the open spot where the Bainbridge Island farmer's market is held — right between the Bainbridge Performing Arts Center and City Hall — and you'll see a path into the trees. Follow it and you'll end up in a six-acre mobile home park, an open secret in the heart of rapidly developing Bainbridge Island.
Islander Mobile Home Park is emblazoned on the gate, but the official name has been changed to Islander Residents Association. Like a lot of other mobile home parks these days, it's pretty much out of sight, out of mind.
