    The unwritten job description for many project managers has changed. In the past, a project manager was someone who excelled technically and seemed ready to successfully interact with clients.

    These days a lot more is being asked of project managers. Beyond technical expertise, which is a given, I believe that one can break the new expectations into four components: marketing through client relationships, team building, risk management and profitability.
